44, 1000 calories a day to lose weight, tell me what to eat

Anonymous
I don't eat pork, don't want to do many carbs.

My thought is to do 2 hemp protein shakes a day and one regular meal, which has to be essentially veggies and protein, but I'm finding myself to be woefully uncreative about the one meal, please help! All ideas appreciated.

Clearly you've bumped your head. First you're proposing 1000 calories a day which is unhealthy and unsustainable. God help anyone that has to work or live with your angry, hungry self. Second, you're asking for ideas around "veggies and protein." What part do you not understand--the veggies or the protein.

Your body will go into starvation mode and you'll gain more weight. Eat normally and get exercising to bump your heart rate to loose weight.

Fish and salad, basically. Add a protein shake or two.

WAY too few calories, OP. Where did you get this idea?

1,000 calories will cause your body to go into "starvation mode" and conserve any and all fat it's able to. When I decided to lose weight I went a boring, but very successful diet combined with exercising 3 times a week. What I eat pretty much daily:

Breakfast: plain yogurt, a piece of fruit, raw nuts, coffee

Morning Snack: Fruit or nuts, water

Lunch: 1/2 turkey sandwich on whole wheat, salad with oil & vinegar, water or crystal light

Afternoon Snack: Vegetables or a cheese stick, water

Dinner: Salad with oil and vinegar, chicken or turkey or fish (1/4 or the plate), veggies (1/2 the plate), grain or starch (1/4 of the plate), wine

Dessert: 1/2 cup of gelato with fresh fruit

I'm guessing desperation.

+1

You're just going to get fatter, OP. And you'll make your metabolism slower for a LONG time after this stupid diet is over.

Get some exercise and cut carbs, but keep your calories above 1500, or suffer the consequences.

Eat mostly fruits and vegetables and drink water. Increase your exercise.

And eat lean protein.

fats are also your friend, they help you feel full and sated. avocado, olive oil, etc.

1000 is too low, but starvation mode is a myth.

Yikes - you are going to be HANGRY! I would up that a little and exercise more.

Try Weight Watchers. Their plans are sensible. I've seen people have great results.
