The temper thing has always been a constant. Aides have quoted him as unleashing it at Charles. I wouldn't be surprised if Kate has had it as well. I didn't see the bloody in the ring quote. |
+1. The only thing likable about William is Kate and the kids. I like them as a family, but am not such a fan of Willam’s alone. His family knows he needs Kate and the kids for his image. I suspect that they’re living increasingly distant lives but won’t split. |

Newsweek says “ However, an article on French-language website Oh My Mag wrongly suggested Kate had walked out with the couple's three children, the website's publisher told Newsweek.“
“ MSN.com then ran a translation hosted on its own website, while a link to the story was posted to its 227,600 Twitter followers on May 17.” So what’s the rep of Oh My Mag? |
He's always done the walking ahead thing, and it's very rude. There was a video (now I can't find it! Weird!) when they were dating or newly married where William, Harry, and Kate were together but had to walk across a lawn in the rain. William just raised his umbrella and...took off, without even turning around. Kate evidently didn't have an umbrella, but Harry graciously held her hand down the stairs and shared his with her. I don't think William has ever really treated her well or holds her in high regard. He wanted a blonde AristoChick and I think makes it known she should feel lucky he was made to "settle" after stringing her along (and enjoying escapades with others) for years. I think that she originally may have been "ok" with this kind of arrangement where it is assumed he will step out etc. but it may get to her still. I do think, while aware of this kind of compromise she made, it is most humiliating when anything is aired in public. I'm sure she adores those kids and doesn't want family drama, so kind of grins her teeth and bears it and they can keep their 1:1 interactions to a minimum. |

PP, I love your eggcorn. "Grins her teeth" perfectly captures what Kate must do-- grit her teeth while putting on a big smile for the public. Brava! |
Looking at the two women, I think I know whose marriage is more humiliating.....Rose is married to a man a hundred years older than her who is gay and lives in Paris with his boyfriend. They also had a shotgun, unceremonious wedding. You have to wonder how all this status didn't translate into a husband who is attractive in a conventional sense - surely there were some aristocrats in her set who were straight and age-appropriate? |
The aristocrats who are straight and age-appropriate in her set are not and were not the holders of the family seat. Have you seen his estate and his prominence at every State Opening of Parliament? Meanwhile the Duke of Westminster's girlfriend, very age-appropriate, is now on year 12 of dating on/off and not engaged. She might die before he pops the question in which case he will find a willing 22-year-old happy to be the Duchess of Westminster just as much - age difference notwithstanding. |
I mean, if they’re marrying for titles and status, I can’t say I really feel bad for them for the lot they end up with. |
You’re saying all this blue blood and prominence and she STILL has to marry up? |
It's her fault for not getting pregnant. |
Neither of these women nor Kate have blue blood - none of them are aristocrats. I believe the Westminister girlfriend’s family is small-town wealthy. But Westminister himself is not only a Duke who is 31 but also a billionaire. |
I've never seen that one but William is/was always discarding his wife.

My goodness. I hope all the waiting was worth it for Kate. |
Harry looks disgusted with his brother here. |
