Only way to know who is the best is to
play head to head. They did that in 21 and St. John’s took the crown. They haven’t lost a DMV game dating back to the 2019 season.

The IAC teams have refused to play which should say something. You decide.

Great IAC win for Landon but that’s all it was. Time for them to play some real competition if they want to keep bragging rights.

Didn’t someone on here say St. John’s declined Preps invitation last year?

Well if we’re looking strictly at DMV wins, St. John’s plays a pretty weak dmv schedule every year. The only good team they played this year was Gonzaga.

Gonzaga on the other hand played every good DMV team. Can’t have a temper tantrum about not being crowned the best in the area but fail to schedule anyone good in the area.

They instead decided to get blown out by some people from elsewhere

Every major national lacrosse publication (US Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse) has Landon ranked higher than SJC in the national polls this season. While the rankings aren't perfect, I trust these polling committees to have more visibility and insight into the quality of lacrosse being played in the various regions.

I do hope the Bears and Cadets can get a game on the books in the Spring of 2025 and the coaching staffs can set aside their differences.

No chance. The schools are diametrically opposed in how they view sports.

You are all going to look like idiots if Gonzaga wins tomorrow.

SJC will put this debate to bed tomorrow night and prove why they are the #1 team in the DMV.

Gonzaga better win. Losing twice to a bunch of Sophmores wouldn't look good at all.

Landon would absolutely roll SJC! Not even close. I’ll take Landon -4 in that game easy. Too bad it will never happen bc speaks has destroyed all relationships with the local schools. SJC will never get to schedule anyone local in dc outside of the WCAC. They’ve screwed themsleves over with their antics and have basically blackballed themselves from dmv lax! I think the irony in it all is funny as hell!

How is that at all ironic? Wouldn't it be expected that if they did shady things that coaches wouldn't want to play them?

I have noticed a noticeable amount of Dematha fans or maybe even PLAYERS?!?! Commenting about their games. Maybe once they lose tonight maybe they will stop intruding on these conversations.

Dematha played very well in a game where the refs “let them play” to an extreme.

I am not sure I understand the hostility of you post. The rest of the message board has devolved into Landon vs SJC comparisons. Having a live action soap opera to read comments on has been a pleasant diversion. Now this summer the local coaching carousel will be like the local version of NBA free agency. Vic Lilly was pushed out by the Dalton boys at Saint Marys. Rumors abound regarding Bullis and SJC to poach WCAC coaches. Should good reading.
