It's interesting that Trump keeps harping on the declassification component. He should be concerned that the 11th circuit said that was a red herring. It doesn't matter - those docs are clearly the property of the government, declassified or not.

For purposes of the warrant, the declassification argument is a red herring. For worries about charges of espionage, it's very important.

Declassification would be a defense if he is charged with divulging state secrets. The are what’s going on. They are going to preserve the defense as long as they can, and muddy the media space with BS theories about his power to declassify.

I don't know what his strategy is. Usually he seems to go with lie and keep lying because a lot of times you get away with it, and at the same time delay delay delay. Here I don't know if he's got more than that.
