Definitely some folks higher up than Kane. I don't think Kane has the power to enforce contractual things or gag order-like things. I bet since he is not directly enforcing it he is trying to play it off like its not his decision, when he probably got the ball rolling on getting her out the door. Very shady. |

I think if that was the case they would have made a big deal out of a public announcement that she was taking some time off, and she would have said something up front too. That's a reasonable excuse for missing the show. They could have just announced a brief hiatus...whatever is happening now just seems too shady to be covering up something simple like FMLA. |

What I think they hope is that most of their audience (I would say probably 70%) listens to the show on their way to work each morning, turns off the radio, goes to work, and then repeats the same steps the next day.
While there is a loud, vocal group posting on here, facebook, twitter, etc, most listeners probably have no clue of any behind the scenes stuff. I think I saw posts even last week on Danni's facebook page from people saying something to the effect that they didn't even realize she hadn't been on the show the last 3 weeks. Again, while there is a vocal minority questioning every thing going on behind the scenes, which is probably much more interesting than they are talking about on the radio, most people simply listen to the show on their way to work, and don't bother to ever go to the show's social media pages to see what other people are talking about. Thus, management probably believes that if they continue with status quo, they may lose some invested listeners, but can hopefully gain new ones by people who are not quite as invested in the behinds the scene stuff and find the show for light entertainment. |

| At this point, it's just common courtesy to address the Danni issue in a real manner. Kane saying he has no idea makes him seem like a very ineffective leader. If they can't say anything for legal reasons then they should say that. If he can go on air and spill his hits about his divorce he can certainly take a couple moments to pacify the listeners with a better answer as to why she's out. Or the station could release a statement. |
