It's his playoff beard. He talked about it on the podcast. But yes, he's a terrible dresser 99% of the time. |

Lol totally agree |
Are you suggesting Taylor pivot to an urban style? |
Just for the record, I think none of those things. I’m not really even a fan. She’s a human being with her share of faults and frailties just like the rest of us. They only get magnified x10 because of who she is. |
Again, not seeing what Taylor gains from it. It’s got to be a two-way street unless we think Taylor just really wants to make a football player more famous and more rich? Out of the kindness of her heart? I’m just not seeing it. |

I’m just enjoying the ride and don’t really care if it’s fake or not. It’s like a romcom, I know that the two actors aren’t in love, but I still enjoy watching the story unfold.
I don’t really feel like I’m being manipulated in any way because Travis and Taylor could have a press conference 30 days from today and announce it was all fake and it would not change my life one bit. My marriage, how I’m raising my kids, my career, my relationships with my friends, financial decisions that I make, none of this has to do with their relationship. I’m just following along and I think it’s kind of cute. Despite her fame, fortune, and talent, there is something very relatable about Taylor Swift. She’s not the hottest girl in the world, but she’s cute, she’s a little socially awkward, and even with her talent, she still has to work damn hard to get where she is. she’s been through some crap a lot of us can relate to as well. The rest is just fun. |
She needed to separate herself away from the racist Matty Healy. The stuff about him really could’ve potentially destroyed her brand. Taylor cannot have her brand associated to racist, sexist and men who do the Nazi salute. He specifically made comments about Ice Spice so Taylor thought it would be a good idea to be collab with her. It didn’t work and failed. Enter Travis Kelce. A somewhat normal and more relatable person who probably never listened to Taylor Swift music and doesn’t realize that once she dumps him he will be seen as a villain. *Poof* Matty and Taylor are forgotten. |

I'm sure everyone around her was fever checked. |
I think this is a HUGE reach bordering on conspiracy theory. I think most of her fans don’t care about Matt Healy and it was clearly a rebound. |

In a worst case scenario, she might catch the sniffles. I’m sure she will be fine. The world is full of young people socializing with other young people. |

Wow they both have diverse friends, actually great thing to have in common. |
100% SAME! [DP] |
Black fans definitely cared about it. I mean, it wasn't like top of mind, but if you listened to what he said/laughed at on the podcast, it was very upsetting. He has a general reputation for being an a$$hole and there was absolutely an element of "why the heck is she with him?" It was not a blip. Taylor also has a history of, frankly, overreacting to bad press. She is very dramatic in how she talks about the stuff with Kanye and Kim, even though it really wasn't that big of a deal and even after Kim released the video where she gave Kanye permission for the lyric, the press wasn't even that bad. But she talks about it like she was driven from the public eye and had to go hide in London in shame. It's weird. I think she is extremely sensitive to criticism. So it doesn't strike me as surprising that she went to great lengths to distance herself from Healy after that podcast came out. I think everything with Ice Spice was 100% driven by the desire to do damage control on Healy. I also tend to think that she and her people viewed it as a good idea for her to be publicly linked to someone else after that, to turn the page so to speak, and I think after Travis spoke on his podcast about wanting to meet her and liking her music, she/they viewed him as a good option -- wholesome image but also has a good record on race (black exes, black friends, not a whiff of questionable attitudes there), plus he's buddies with Mahomes who is a prominent black athlete who also fits Taylor's squeaky clean image. I do think they hit it off and actually like each other (and would not still be together if they didn't), but I think the choice to start seeing him initially was a calculated move driven in large part by PR concerns. I think the relationship has been more successful than anticipated on both fronts -- PR and person. And for Taylor, I think those things are very intertwined and that she enjoyed having a relationship she could be VERY public about (unlike Joe who hated press generally, and Healy who was a liability). So it was smart for her to vet the relationship so thoroughly first because there's a lot of PR upside and little downside, which has not always been the case with her love life. |
