He looks like a lumber jack.

I do not understand the obsession with Taylor and her love life.

Especially when the guy is not attractive unless you’re into that rustic, 20 years from looking like Mick Dodge, backwoods kinda look?…

Seriously he needs to lose some weight and trim the beard and dress better.

It's his playoff beard. He talked about it on the podcast. But yes, he's a terrible dresser 99% of the time.

He gets paid millions of dollars to weigh 250 so he can barrel over defenders.
His current beard is a playoff beard, which he didn't trim as long as they were winning. Hopefully he'll trim it now.
He wears custom-made designer clothes, like his Super Bowl outfit.

I think Kelce is hot - his confidence, his EQ, his passion, his overt masculinity are very attractive. He's everything Joe is not. Joe was Taylor's safe harbor in a very stormy time in her life, followed by the pandemic. When that ended and she wanted to get out in the world again while Joe did not, they realized they weren't compatible.

Maybe she'll tire of Kelce's extraversion, but right now they are obviously madly in love and it's really cute. Happy Valentine's Day!

For those who are still going on about this being a contracted fake relationship, all in the name of (you can pick your favorite here): PR, $$$, bringing more fans to the NFL, paving the way for ownership of an NFL team, forcing people to forget a bad rebound relationship, an election year political conspiracy, hiding their true sexuality, etc., etc., are you seriously suggesting that the two of them sat down and agreed to a contract? If so, here would have had to have been its terms: For the length of this “contract” you will, on your own time and dollar, attend almost every football game he plays in, even if it means flying half way around the world to do so. You will hold hands, kiss, hug, drape yourself over each other in public every chance you get, and become intimate with each other in private. Oh and be sure to act all lovey-dovey even in places where there are no cameras, like private rooms in restaurants, in case someone dares to give an eyewitness account or whips out a cell phone. You will involve your entire families and close friends to go along with the charade. After all who wouldn’t gladly give up their time and be willing to support such an important cause. You will spend every major holiday together. You will forego any chance of meeting or dating anyone else during this time. You will act like you are in love, so much so that talk of a possible engagement starts to take over the airwaves.

So all of this is happening in the name of a contracted fake relationship……seriously???

As for PR, of course there is some of that involved. There’s no way it can’t be when people of their stature become involved, but it comes as a result of the relationship, not as the cause of it.

I don’t pretend to know where this relationship will go in the long run. Maybe it goes the distance, maybe it doesn’t. All I know is what I see right now with my own eyes. I see two people who at this moment light up when they see each other, are very much into each other, in love, and having the time of their lives together. And I say good for them. And for us for however long we get to see it.

I think they actually care about each other. I also think they are attention-seeking, money-grubbing people who are exploiting the relationship for every penny it's worth, and I think that's tacky AF.

This is going to blow your mind -- I think Kim and Kanye really loved each other, too. It does not mean I viewed their relationship as inspiring or liked how they trotted it out and exploited it for clicks and cash.

When you are shallow and obsessed with fame and money, I expect it's quite easy to fall in love with a reasonably attractive and successful person who is the same. THAT is what is fake. They might actually love each other, but they are fake people performing their love for the masses in order to make money.

You are a damaged individual.

DP why are they damaged? Bc the truth hurts you? Taylor Swift isn’t like you and you aren’t like her.

LOL!! Uh. No. Damaged in that who spends this kind of time and energy dissecting a "fake" relationship of someone they clearly have disdain for? Who decides that's a good use of time? I mean, I can't stand Kanye West. I'm mad I just took 5 seconds type his name no less hang on a thread dedicated to him? What could ever be the point in that? Wallowing in negativity doesn't really seem like something a healthy individual would do. Go touch some grass, or something like that. But whatever, I don't care and taking my own advice. I'm out.

Dp You find it negative bc it’s not going the way you like and your feelings for Swift are…different. You do seem a little unhealthy and taking an entertainment thread too personal. Outdoor air might be good for you. I personally find this thread hilarious and entertaining. Someone mentioned a podcast about pr that sounded fun.

+1, it's fascinating to me the people who think speculating about this relationship is "negative." It's celebrity gossip! That's one of my favorite activities. It's how my friends and I bond. You can't take it seriously. And this relationship is extra fun because it's so over the top ridiculous and there is so much random features of it to chew on. I'm absolutely delighted to have this kvetch over in the middle of a dreary winter. It's a tonic for my seasonal affective disorder. Thank you Taylor and Travis for your service.

Lol totally agree

Last year the festival happened the last weekend in April. Taylor's new album is slated to be released April 19th. She has no tour dates in April.

I'm just saying...

Kelce Jam is an urban music festival not teen pop.

Well between the Ice Spice collaboration and her relationship with Kelce, this could be the perfect pivot for her to show up and drop a surprise remix of several songs.

So I didn’t know PR relationships were a thing until I started listening to a podcast called Behind the Blinds. They break a lot of the Hollywood stuff down with proof and receipts.

So to answer your question, yes. That is exactly what happens. And nothing is done “privately” bc if it were truly private how did you hear about it? Every single time Taylor is photographed, filmed, etc she is aware. Her PR manager Tree is the hardest working manager. That is Taylor’s Swift true talent, cultivating her image so that people like you think she is genuine, sweet, innocent, not bi (she def dated Karlie Kloss and Dianna Argon), and an underdog.

Sure she might actually like him somewhat but the only thing Taylor Swift loves is her image.

Just for the record, I think none of those things. I’m not really even a fan. She’s a human being with her share of faults and frailties just like the rest of us. They only get magnified x10 because of who she is.

DP - I love that podcast! But most of those relationships they discuss are people pretty desperate to be noticed. Pryanka and Joe - she was desperate to break it in the US and Joe has been sleeping with men on the DL for years - they both had huge things to gain.

Same with Camilla and Shawn and their many coffee walks with empty cups LOL. They want to be famous.

I don’t get that T and T had that much to gain / they were successful, rich, and known. So I don’t see it. But I LOVE a good fake relationship - I just don’t think this is it.

Omg Camilla and Shawn paps walk were the best lol.

Travis wasn’t really that known. They talked about Travis and Taylor on the podcast since Kelly is a Swiftie and made some really good points. I def believe this is a PR relationship.

Again, not seeing what Taylor gains from it. It’s got to be a two-way street unless we think Taylor just really wants to make a football player more famous and more rich? Out of the kindness of her heart? I’m just not seeing it.

I’m just enjoying the ride and don’t really care if it’s fake or not. It’s like a romcom, I know that the two actors aren’t in love, but I still enjoy watching the story unfold.

I don’t really feel like I’m being manipulated in any way because Travis and Taylor could have a press conference 30 days from today and announce it was all fake and it would not change my life one bit. My marriage, how I’m raising my kids, my career, my relationships with my friends, financial decisions that I make, none of this has to do with their relationship. I’m just following along and I think it’s kind of cute.

Despite her fame, fortune, and talent, there is something very relatable about Taylor Swift. She’s not the hottest girl in the world, but she’s cute, she’s a little socially awkward, and even with her talent, she still has to work damn hard to get where she is. she’s been through some crap a lot of us can relate to as well. The rest is just fun.

She needed to separate herself away from the racist Matty Healy. The stuff about him really could’ve potentially destroyed her brand. Taylor cannot have her brand associated to racist, sexist and men who do the Nazi salute. He specifically made comments about Ice Spice so Taylor thought it would be a good idea to be collab with her. It didn’t work and failed. Enter Travis Kelce. A somewhat normal and more relatable person who probably never listened to Taylor Swift music and doesn’t realize that once she dumps him he will be seen as a villain. *Poof* Matty and Taylor are forgotten.

I think this is a HUGE reach bordering on conspiracy theory. I think most of her fans don’t care about Matt Healy and it was clearly a rebound.

Black fans definitely cared about it. I mean, it wasn't like top of mind, but if you listened to what he said/laughed at on the podcast, it was very upsetting. He has a general reputation for being an a$$hole and there was absolutely an element of "why the heck is she with him?" It was not a blip.

Taylor also has a history of, frankly, overreacting to bad press. She is very dramatic in how she talks about the stuff with Kanye and Kim, even though it really wasn't that big of a deal and even after Kim released the video where she gave Kanye permission for the lyric, the press wasn't even that bad. But she talks about it like she was driven from the public eye and had to go hide in London in shame. It's weird. I think she is extremely sensitive to criticism.

So it doesn't strike me as surprising that she went to great lengths to distance herself from Healy after that podcast came out. I think everything with Ice Spice was 100% driven by the desire to do damage control on Healy. I also tend to think that she and her people viewed it as a good idea for her to be publicly linked to someone else after that, to turn the page so to speak, and I think after Travis spoke on his podcast about wanting to meet her and liking her music, she/they viewed him as a good option -- wholesome image but also has a good record on race (black exes, black friends, not a whiff of questionable attitudes there), plus he's buddies with Mahomes who is a prominent black athlete who also fits Taylor's squeaky clean image.

I do think they hit it off and actually like each other (and would not still be together if they didn't), but I think the choice to start seeing him initially was a calculated move driven in large part by PR concerns. I think the relationship has been more successful than anticipated on both fronts -- PR and person. And for Taylor, I think those things are very intertwined and that she enjoyed having a relationship she could be VERY public about (unlike Joe who hated press generally, and Healy who was a liability). So it was smart for her to vet the relationship so thoroughly first because there's a lot of PR upside and little downside, which has not always been the case with her love life.
