Gaza War, Part 3

Anonymous
Israel suffers from the same overconfidence, delusion and arrogance, that led Bibi to ignore 10/7 warnings and think Hamas could never be able to get past Israeli security . Israel aren’t the big fish they think they are in the region and if they think the Arab neighbors like them more than Palestinians and that Americans can be pulled into war easily this time on their behalf , they are more delusional than ever.

And Saudis and Qataris are just waiting for all these idiots to implode so that they can finally have diplomatic ties with Israel. The support for the Palestinian cause in the ME is dwindling, they have squandered too much good will.

It’s rather surprising the majority of pro-Palestinian protests have been in the West. Besides some initial outrage from the Arab “street” months ago (with the mandatory US and Israeli flag burning and death to America chants), any support for Gaza and Hamas has indeed evaporated from the Arab countries. No one cares.

The neighboring Arab countries know they need to be careful what they say and what they wish for... show too much support for Palestine and suddenly they will find themselves awash in Palestinian refugees - who will then try to take over their country. Ask Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, etc. They already know this. Iran on the other hand continues to meddle from afar, propping up Hamas. Not that Palestinian refugees would be that welcome in Iran, either.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Qatar covertly works with Israel and allows the elimination of Haniyeh and his associates living in Doha followed of course by dumping his remains in the ocean like was done with bin Laden and his family.

Lol. Qatar that didn’t allow Israeli media at the World Cup is going to side with Israel and didn’t care to be pro LGBT to satisfy Israel and the West?

Qatar needs Palestinians more than they need Israel . Palestinians are the doctors and professors in Qatar. They need Arabic speaking professionals because Qatar is a tiny but wealthy
country of oil guys.

The Indo or Pakistani Muslim expats can’t speak Arabic. Though most Qatari males speak English, some of the women particularly older women didnt go to college so they only speak Arabic. They need doctors that speak Arabic for their mothers and grandmothers.

If you haven’t been to Qatar, of course you would think they would turn on Palestinians but I’m here to tell you Palestinians are useful in the Gulf . The Gulf kids are lazy and party in Europe and don’t go to school seriously just for filler degrees or to study business. Palestinians , unfortunately some including Hamas, are over represented in STEM (doctors, engineers, pharmacists). Many are intermarried with Palestinians as well.

Unless Qatar can trust Israeli doctors and engineers, they aren’t going to turn on Palestinians because they need them.

You are arguing against something that wasn’t said. The Qataris will turn on Haniyeh and Hamas, not the Palestinians. After all, we are told over and over that Hamas doesn’t represent the Palestinians, right?

I thought we are told Hamas uses human shields right? Now after 20k killed you finally realize the Brains of Hamas are in Qatar not even in Gaza.

Israel has helped Haniyeh get a million more men with this war

Qatar doesn’t need to turn on anybody. What’s Israel’s threat to Qatar? Qatar has lots of leverage on Bibi because he knows he was accepting Qatari cash to allow Hamas operations in Gaza? Suitcases of Qatari cash were flown into Tel Aviv from Doha by Hamas over the years and Bibi /Israel did nothing about it. He isn’t going to be able to do much about Qatar because if so this news will get leaked to Al Jazeera -based in Qatar and it will be over for him in Israel

Why is the US involved with Israel? Why is the US the guarantee of Israel’s existence and its endless war?

If Israel can not stand by itself after 75 years it will always be a dependent of the US. It’s time to end our support for Israel.

What, no WMD? No glass vial to shake?

Not a subscriber to NY times, but I can tell you that neither side is squeaky clean or spotless and the first casualty in war is the truth.
Right now it is the Palestinians who are doing the dying and suffering in very large numbers.
The end does not justify the means, not anymore

The bolded- it has ALWAYS been Palestinians being murdered and otherwise killed in very large numbers since the late 1940s, and 10/7/23 is the sole exception. When you frame the conflict as you do, it’s dishonest.

Yes, they have a lot of casualties because they start wars and can't finish them. They are not the victims.

By your logic a war cannot have victims

Much like Jewish refugees who took over Palestine?

Massive influx of refugees aren’t welcomed with open arms anywhere in the world. It’s the nature of nationalism. Guatemalans aren’t welcome in Mexico. Is that supposed to be a character flaw?

Who are you talking to? Who are you making commands to? Us here on DCUM? The United States? Israel? Why do any of these parties need to do what you say?

Also, newsflash, every country has relationships with other countries.

lol another Israeli fantasy. The Palestinians will be allowed back in to Israel and give full rights. The days of a Jewish state of Israel are over. The only way forward is to force Israel to become a secular state with a constitution and rights for all.

Your response makes no sense at all.

Lol. So you leaked it? Did you tip off Al Jazeera, Deepthroat?
Guess it’s over for Bibi!
You’re funny!
Anyway Qatar will allow Haniyeh to be neutralized.

Is this some sort of curse you are placing on Israel? Name it and claim it? A manifestation attempt? You want it, you say it, and claim it?

Israel is not just another country. It is a country outside the UN and civilized countries of the world. The US should impose sanctions against Israel including putting all the current government officials in Israel on trail in the Hague.

News flash countries like Israel work against the US strategic interest in the ME. The US does not have normalized relationship with countries that behave like Israel.

Look at the terrorist attack in Iran.

“They”? Do you think all Palestinians are to blame? Such a lack of compassion.

My understanding from reading history is that Zionists were the original provocateurs. Palestinians responded. Violence escalated with each and every back and forth. Vastly more Palestinians have died (and kidnapped, ie held without charges) than Israeli over the years. The suffering that the escalation has now reached is terrible. And has just created a new generation of people who hate Israel.

I hope the US begins to link support to Israel to changes in how they treat Palestinians. I believe this will happen in the next 20-30 years.

Did your “reading” start with Arab riots off 1835?
