Sadly, we saw this with the Trump-Russia scandal. The “mainstream” (aka centrist Republican) media stopped talking about it and right wing propaganda “refuted” (i.e., lied) all the facts.

Until the media quits carrying water for the GOP I don’t see how we get out of this descent into fascism nightmare.
