Jlo’s whole brand is that she is super hot and desirable. Being cheated on by her unattractive and relative to her broke fiancée with some Z list nobody does not fit that brand. The Bennifer thing changes the conversation. Whole thing seems so fake. Also Ben is not cute anymore. And the me too movement has not been great for his family.

It’s not like he’s a great catch either. He’s a recovering alcoholic who’s been in and out of rehab also with a history of failed marriage.

I think she is classless because she is uneducated, grandiose, has no humility and she is profoundly vain, and high maintenance, even in the very vain world.of entertainment, she is a stand out. (Affleck's mother is a Harvard educated teacher and I think an activist.). She's about social justice and the greater good, an altruistic person who is in a human services profession. J lo is about music, performance, exhibitionism, vanity and incessant self promotion, sex, power, and worship of the almighty dollar. (Or she was then). Read about how she treated people on her rise to the top and her propensity to plagiarize other artist's work.. Diamonds, jewelry, mansions, ego, bling, , blah blah blah.Her commitment history is also terrible. She is obviously deeply disciplined, ambitious, and maybe she has grown. But would i describe her as being a gracious person years ago when she dated him? Unlikely. His mother essentially said, "do you really want to marry a person like this?" She was incredibly hungry for fame and recognition.

Thst's a given....I think the difference is ust that she was still hyping her other great love story only weeks earlier. And had been for four years. Agree with pp who said the breakup did not fit her brand....and she's all about the brand.

I’ve seen a fair amount of Ben bashing in this board, some of which came from me. The difference is that I feel a bit sorry for Ben, while I don’t for Jlo. He’s a struggling alcoholic and his family has to suffer the consequences of that. Jlo is clearly motivated and ambitious, and doesn’t suffer from any obvious addiction or mental health issues, so what’s her excuse for being an absent parent and generally parading around with a new bf a week after ending a prior engagement? It seems kind of pathetic all around, particularly at their ages, but for her it just seems more deliberate and desperate. The irony of seeming desperate when your with Ben affleck is not lost on me.
