Here, MAGA, you guys need stuff translated into human more directly for you: imagine if Raskin had put up a sign or a flag affirming support for those grieving suicide victims. In this situation, psychotic sub-human MTG would have posted a sign that said, “Your kid killed himself. Deal with it.” Or if someone had hung the POW/MIA flag, she would have posted, “I like people who don’t get captured.”

No, it’s not the same at all. Newman put the transgender flag outside her office to antagonize MTG. She tweeted that was the reason for it! Then she’s pissed that MTG trolled her back. They’re both stupid acts, but no, nothing at all like the hypothetical you created.

There's no conversation to be had with Greene. Newman could've placed the flag and written about how she stands with the trans community, and mentioned her child too if she wanted. She shouldn't have even mentioned Greene. Why give that bigot any oxygen?

She tagged MTG on Twitter and made a whole video about it for social media. Newman was itchin' for a fight, knowing MTG would do something insane.
TBH, it was better to just quietly put the flag outside her office without directly addressing MTG. We all know she would've flipped out at some point. Newman is going to be pin-pointed as an instigator in RWNJ media.

The fight didn't start with the flag. The House has been debating the Equality Act. Greene has been speaking very vociferously against it. Newman has been supporting it and, in the process, mentioned her child. Greene has spoken and tweeted very disrespectfully about the child. The flag was a reaction to that.
