What about native Americans? There's been a huge push to publicize the death/disapeances of native woman which largely go uninvestigated or unreported

This article says Fotis Dulos might go for a jury trial...wish I could be on that jury.

It's not the police bringing these disappearances to the media's attention. It's the family members doing it. The police and media don't want to invade a missing person's privacy by making their disappearance public news UNLESS their family members insist that the person would never have left on their own accord and start posting missing person flyers. |
What possible reason could his attorney offer for why Dulos and girlfriend were driving around dumping bags with items that have Jennifer's blood? |
All they have to do is bring it back to the fact that there's no body and you can't convict someone of manslaughter without absolute certainty. He probably would have taken a deal if CT had the death penalty. |
PP here. Even if the girlfriend admits it? |

Of course this case is getting lots of attention. Rich people from Farmington, wealthy NY family, come on...if a woman who lived on Albany Ave in Hartford, the place where Fortis dumped all the bloody trash, had disappeared like this, it would not get this attention, because it is a poor and minority area.
That's the sad truth. Here's another case that's not being widely reported-a young pregnant (single and black) USPS letter carrier disappeared on her way to work several months ago in Chicago. Her bf is being not cooperative. I only know about this because I work for the USPS and they are still looking for her-but it didn't make big news like this. |

Is anyone going to the media on her behalf, posting missing person fliers, organizing search parties? If not, why not? |
The standard is not absolute certainty. It is beyond a reasonable doubt. A prosecutor can certainly prove that when the GF flips and they have dna evidence from the bags he was driving around in the car that is in camera. |
Are you serious? This case is all over the media. I’m pretty sure a flyer isn’t going to bring back a woman whose ex and his girlfriend were captured on video disposing of 30 bags containing her blood. |
He is guilty as sin and so is that girlfriend. How she is out right now is beyond me. She was literally caught on tape dumping bloody crime scene items. WTH? What more evidence do they really need? |
Her union has, I'm in it too so that's how I knew about it. The USPS has also. On a local level, I get the impression that she's not a priority for law enforcement. |
What do you mean? She has been arrested and made bail. That is generally how it works. |
I was referring to the missing letter carrier. In Jennifer Dolus's case, yeah the police have ample evidence that she has been badly harmed and is most likely dead. They are looking for a body. But in the case of the pregnant letter carrier who simply vanished on her way to work what, if anything, is being done to bring attention to her disappearance? |
