If those new coaches run legit tryouts and select the best players, there will be hurt feelings all around as some players (esp those tyna flip), won't be feeling as great as they thought they were. However, if board members make arrangements to add whole teams to bring their kids back to SYC from LMVSC, there could be entire "blue" teams that find themselves displaced. |
I really think that's the plan. I heard some coaches saying they were glad that the soccer committee is not running the soccer anymore, I really hope that's true. Also, I am good with my kids going from blue to orange if there's more talented players than her. To be honest it would be better, they got killed in NPL last season and loosing every week, well that's no fun. |
Many big clubs make selections by committee/td and don’t know the kids. It happens at even the “best” clubs. It’s pathethic when coaches’ input isn’t valued. |
| SYC has stronger teams than lmvsc |
starting in the fall |
No SYC has always had good teams. Lmvs must be dreaming if they think players can take orange spots. |
| How are SYC families feeling about the exodus of coaches from the club? |
| People come and go. Neither club is made by one person, and neither club will be broken by someone's departure. |
| SYC teams weren’t successful in NPL or NCSL this year. The ONLY way they will be successful next year is if they bring a ton of lmvsc players. Don’t be in denial as an SYC parent. |
| Estes is coaching the 2006 boys and 2007 girls. Both teams are stronger the LMV. |
| Hmmm. Are they still? I don’t think so. Look at recent results. |
| Only a matter of time until SYC is in the DA anyways. |
LMAO |
Heard they were skipping DA and going pro. Messi and Ronaldo are both coming. |
Messi and Ronaldo aren't SYC material. SYC is a whole other level!!! |
