Phen Pro. Is it safe?

I also started last week and don't feel that way. Definitely dry mouth. A little "buzzy" sometimes. My lips tingled a bit the first day. But that's it. My sleep is actually way better now. Probably because I'm super hydrated and not drinking alcohol. I'm also taking the Prozac at night even though he said it didn't matter.

I also went to BeLite.
It's been two weeks and I am down 12 pounds.

They seem nice and I am hoping it continues. No real side effects for me.

Anyone submit paperwork to their insurance for reimbursement?

So I went to Dr. Rivas who has several offices in Maryland (Frederick office closest to DC). He only prescribed the phentermine, and said if that isn't working well, they then add in the prozac... at first I was a little disappointed, but I figured it's worth a shot.

Also, after reading the experiences on here with Dr. Anchors, I expected to at least have a discussion over what I have tried, my routine, etc. but he did not care at all about anything. I walked in, he weighed me, took my blood pressure, and gave me the pills. Had a printout with a "suggested" meal plan but didn't talk about it or go over any of it. I was a little shocked because it almost too easy.

It was essentially the same with Dr. Anchors except he talks for a half hour or so.

This is the PP. I expected at least some talking from Rivas about diet, exercise, etc but I really got none... crazy.

Anyway, this is also day 1 on just the phentermine and I have zero appetite. I never eat breakfast but I heated up my lunch just to take a break from work, and ate about half of it before just losing total interest. No noticeable other side affects (no dry mouth yet, etc).

$130 for "initial visit and dosage" so for two weeks of pills. Subsequent refills are $80.

Can I ask a dumb question? Isn’t it just a lower dose of speed? What happens when you stop taking it- what will be different than before when you gained the weight in the first place?

The only people I know who have taken it are women with eating disorders. You can get a groupon for $59 here which includes a month of pills. People I know have put weights in their clothes to qualify. Yes, that is disordered.

It's like with anything people do to lose weight - it's a tool to use to help you while you learn better habits. You learn how to control your portions, how much you really need to eat vs eating out of boredom/stress/etc.

But you "can" control them because you are taking speed that makes you not hungry. When you stop taking speed you will be hungry again like you were before ~ what will be different? Its not like "anything",.......exercise and diet works.

I know for me personally, I don't only eat because I'm hungry. I eat because I'm bored or stressed or craving etc. Losing weight and maintaining weight are completely different, and it's much easier to maintain than it is to lose. I also have PCOS, which there are pubmed articles discussing how in order to lose weight, you have to cut calories even lower. So the goal is for this to teach me what portions should look like, how to stop when I've had enough, etc. Those lessons will help to prevent future weight gain.

I already diet and exercise - it has not worked.

Exercise DOES NOT control your weight. Numerous studies have shown that. What you eat does, and it's not about the calories.

I saw Dr Anchors and he talked to me for about 30 minutes, a lot of it about what foods to avoid and in what combinations. A lot is common sense, but we all seem to have forgotten it.

I’ve been off a one month usage of Phentermine (not the Phen Pro) for several weeks now and I haven’t gained anything back although I am eating only slightly less than I was before I took the pills. I lost 8 pounds (134 to 126). I think i just needed the initial help losing the few pounds I needed to. I don’t need to eat as little to maintain, though. I am a 30 mile-a-week runner, for what it’s worth.

Sorry to bump, but has anyone who went to BeLite asked for the prescriptions to fill elsewhere? I saw they offer that on their website and I found them cheaper at other pharmacies...

Thx.
