Their teams have a few core players who are strong players (I'm talking only 2-3 kids on each team that would excel on other club teams) and they are open to having kids guest play. Overall you are right that their teams would get a big boost from a Blackwolf infusion. The teams would be 75%/25% BW to 3d by my guesstimate for HS teams. BW kids would benefit from it since if you're any good you can supplement playing for 3d national team or other regional teams if they like. 3d does treat their few excellent players 'differently' meaning lots of flexibility and financial waivers.

I hope Trig cashes out big time, leaving people like the Crabs and Madlax guys to stumble along for the next few years until lacrosse truly spreads across the U.S. and their corner on the market dwindles away, leaving them broke and bitter and a faded memory.

Unfortunately, I am sure they will have an A team and a B team, diluting their name brand. They're toast, a soon to be carcass whose talent will be picked over by those other clubs.

Play with passion!!

Will they keep the Black wolf name?

3d parent here, this is an accurate assessment.

Just to add to that, on my son's team, there are 7 core players that could play (and have) on any top club team. After that, there is a very big drop off.

Yes. And they span from Annapolis down to Prince William. Almost all the kids are guys who couldn't make Madlax or VLC.

So if you are a Black Wolf family, you must be thinking WTF Trig. Can't see anyone on Black Wolf gaining from this apart from the obvious one.

Again, this is just totally wrong, and not true. A good number of them came from Madlax and VLC. The original team was almost exclusively comprised of madlax, vlc, and crabs kids - most of which were starters on their former club team and played over the kids that left for blackwolf. Also, last Fall there was a group of talented kids that traveled up from Richmond. Please do your homework before you post anymore nonsense.

What does Trig gain? A career with a company that has national reach, and is bigger than Blackwolf could ever reach on its own. Oh and btw, he is a phenomenal coach. 3d would be lucky to have him.

I see culture clash ahead.

STA parents making an assessment that a club team / players suck. Consider the irony there.

The trading of insults on this thread is middle-school level. Are all the parents secretly so petty? Is sports parenting just like UV light to bring out the ugly side of people? It's really odd.

I saw that original 3d team they had. It was terrible. A couple of those Madlax/VLC kids had started for their previous club. Most of them left 3d within a year. And none of the kids on that team ever played for the Crabs.
