Which club treats the lower club teams the same as their top team? Please let us know so we can join. Seems like all local clubs treat their top team better than lower teams. They get away with it because there are more players trying out than spots available. |
Most large clubs lose 80% of a top team at once and don’t pause to consider why people may be fleeing en masse? I mean sadly that’s probably true but a pretty sad statement on youth soccer in this area. I do think a lot of places would at least have the sense to pretend to care though rather than admitting they don’t care in the least who fills the spots so long as their check clears. |

I honestly hope you are not a coach or administrator with Arlington Soccer Association, because if that is the mindset and tone toward families, it would explain a lot. |

Just a parent with one kid on the top team and another on a lower team. Top team have more experienced coaches and more training compared to lower team. We came from another club who did the same. More resources go to the top team. At least Arlington charges more for the additional resources to the players on the top team and we pay less for our child on the lower team. |
It points to a larger organizational and cultural problem which you seem to be part of. If you have a child in the club I hope for their sake you’re not naive enough to think they are untouchable on whatever team they may be on. |
Are you kidding? That's what they live in fear of every day...and probably why they peruse this site

Have kids at a few different clubs and the top teams get more resources and focus. There are additional practice opportunities, scrimmages against other clubs to stay sharp, summer training and player involvement. It’s not like being a pro but different enough that you quickly notice it. |
| There are plenty of good clubs. Take your business somewhere else. Never wait more than 48 hours for an offer. I wouldn’t. |

Who doesn't realize the top teams are getting better and more coaching? Of course they are.
Communication issues and issues of being disorganized and not transparent affect everyone, however. And Arlington sucks at that top to bottom. |
Heheheheh 😈 |
I was going to say. The top team tryouts this year were a complete sh*t show! Yes, there was the age change complication but the whole thing was chaotic and opaque. I don't care how many players are lined up. Do your job! |

Um, Arlington brings in roughly 60-70% new kids at Academy age (U13). Have Plan B for your kid. If you are not on the Academy tram at U13 (on Red or White), leave the club because your DC will never be asked. |
None of that is relevant here since this is the top U12 team for next year. Players leaving by choice despite receiving top team offers because this year was a mess, tryouts were a cluster, and next year’s coach is a clown. |
