I remember that so well also, PP. They were so magical together. |
I don’t think you have been reading what women are writing about them! |
Of course everyone is the same!! Why would a human want to make babies with middle aged sperm when it could have young sperm? This is just basic biology. |
Yes. Weirdly it made that monologue even more powerful because it reminded me of that love that was so real. |
He was making $125k per episode of Nip Tuck with a 7 figure bonus. He should be be needing little side gigs but who knows! |
True. I have been watching/listening to multiple young, straight, male hosts of hockey podcasts gush about it, which I find absolutely fascinating. (I also love hockey.) It's the one thing that has made me most aware of my middle age, but in a good way. The younger generation is so much better. Progress! |
I’m not surprised. Hockey is in desperate need of new fans, and HE is bringing it to them. |
“HR”, not “HE” |
Most of those podcasts just jumped on the bandwagon. Many just parrot what they read online. Still good they are talking about it but it’s 99.9% for their own career benefit and nothing more. There are lots of young wholesome hockey players. Hockey has changed as society has changed. Celebrini/Smith, the Hughes brothers, lots of young talent if the HR crowd actually did get interested in hockey. San Jose Sharks have a very young team with great talent and potential. Not sure they want all their mom’s age group to be ogling and drooling over them because of HR but good for the hockey. |
| SNL Feb 28. 👀 |

I like this type of story because it happens in real life all the damn time. Two people who are orbiting each other and pretending it’s casual. The tiny details are very well done: the looks, the pauses, who reaches first, who leans in for more, who comes back even after some hurt.
Ilya breaks my heart because he’s fought for everything his whole life and expects little in return. Shane chooses him quietly and consistently without asking him to explain or perform. The dynamic is beautiful to watch. |
About the characters or the actors? If it’s the characters, honestly I don’t care or judge. It’s fantasy. People, no matter their age, can appreciate a hot body. There are plenty of hot men on screen. But this story is intimate and vulnerable with yearning. Women want more yearning on screen. It’s no surprise they fell in love with these characters. We can appreciate a hot scene (and even get turned on by it) without picturing ourselves in it. |
My brother works for SNL and said the demand for 2/28 tickets is going to be astronomical. Taylor Swift level. |
What are you talking about? Yes, the two young men are smoking hot. But what's hot to a lot of "middle aged women" is the heat, chemistry, love, longing that these two masculine men display. They have all the characteristics that many women love and yearn for in a relationship: HOT sex, gorgeous men, tenderness, vulnerability, emotion, love. And as for the "lusting" after the young men, you can F all the way off. Men have been doing it since the beginning of time. Looking is hardly a problem; not keeping your dick in your pants is the problem (and is a problem many men seem to have). |
+1. And also don’t forget consent. These boys are never forcing each other to do stuff they are not comfortable with. Asking for/offering to do raunchy stuff and getting encouragement and confirmation from your partner before and during? It’s hot! |
