MIami IN Notre Dame Out

Instead of the colors blue & gold, the University of Notre Dame should use green & gold to better reflect the football team's values of greed & arrogance. But, apparently Notre Dame football doesn't think that truth-in-labeling laws apply to it.

Notre Dame has no complaint this year as the former ND athletic director had substantial input of the current CFP teams selection process.

Yes, Notre Dame and BYU would have made for a stronger CFP field than did Tulane & JMU, but the exposure for the non-Power 4 Conferences was important and admirable I purpose.

Expanding the CFP field to 16 teams with no teams getting byes is an approach to consider in the immediate future.

Both U Miami & Texas A&M deserved their CFP playoff invitations over Notre Dame as each team beat Notre Dame in head-to-head confrontations and all had similar regular season records. Also, due to Notre Dame football's weak to modest strength of schedule, Notre Dame deserved nothing and Notre Dame football failed to earn an offer to compete in the CFP.

Notre Dame football is synonymous with greed & arrogance. Well, greed, arrogance, and unaffiliated independence is, at best, an expensive luxury.

Dude, you have got to get over this.

No, absolutely not.

Notre Dame football complained about U Miami & U Alabama getting in the CFP over ND football, yet both Alabama & Miami proved that they both were solid selections as both teams advanced over very tough opponents ( Oklahoma & Texas A&M).

Had either Miami or Alabama performed poorly, the ND football fanatics would be crying & pouting even louder than before.

This is the time to reflect on the selection of U Miami & U Alabama over Notre Dame by the CFP because we now have proof based on head-to-head competition that both teams were great choices to be in the CFP. If neither U Miami nor U Alabama deserved to be in the CFP, then neither did U Oklahoma nor Texas A&M deserve to be in the CFP.

Had U Miami and/or U Alabama performed poorly in the first round of the CFP, then Notre Dame football may have had a point that the CFP committee eliminated the wrong team among ND, A&M, and Miami; but Miami & Alabama performed well and won against formidable opponents.

Why would I weep ? Because greedy, arrogant, independent Notre Dame football can accumulate money better than it can play football ?

Green is an ugly color on you. Looks nice on ND though.

So now you have again resorted to making personal insults instead of trying analytical reasoning. Is this how you want to represent the University Notre Dame ?

Alabama and Oklahoma both looked like mid-tier ACC teams yesterday. What a trash game. Even Duke could’ve beaten them. Neither team should’ve been in the playoff.

There, there. Now that's the ND spirit we have all come to know and to despise. Try again next year. Good luck retaining your coach.

So Notre Dame lost to Miami and the team Miami beat today, and lost to that team, A&M, in South Bend

Notre Dame would beat both those teams today.

Lol, I feel embarrassed for you.

Spare your feelings. The games today were an absolute joke. Tulane and JMU should not have been there. I am sure ESPN ratings sunk last night. Notre Dame and BYU would have rounded out the bracket much more appropriately.

The Miami players are also the most atrocious human beings in college football, trolling the Heisman finalist who will likely be a first round draft pick. Those players will be serving him fries in a few years lol. There's a reason it's called Catholics vs. Convicts.

Funny how weeks later, ND still living rent free in these goofballs' heads lol.

I love how the story keeps changing.

First ND deserved Miami's spot, even though Miami bear ND.

Then it was that Miami deserved Alabama's spot, despite the same record against a harder schedule.

Now it's that JMU and Tulane shouldn't have gotten spots, even though unlike ND they bother to belong to conferences and won their conference championship.

And also that Miami players are bad people.

There's a word for this: prevarication. Surely a Notre Dame alum knows what that is?

Not the PP, and also not a ND fan, but that assessment was 100% correct.

Maybe Notre Dame football can get the CFP committee to agree to award this year's National Championship trophy with an engraved asterisk noting that Notre Dame was not included in the CFP competition so it's not really a true or valid National Championship.
Anonymous
Not sure if true, but there is a rumor circulating that if the University of Miami wins the National Championship that it will accept the trophy on behalf on Notre Dame.
