People massively understated the affect luck had on their success (like being on the older side of the relative age effect) and can't fathom that the U.S. has very low social mobility where most are born with anchors. It is important to be aware that all kids mature at the same rate. A kid born in December will always be 12 months less physically developed than one born in January. This is why RAE is such a big deal, Q4 kids are always gonna be smaller, slower, and dumber than their Q1-3 counterparts. Unfortunate, but life isnt fair.
