All great choices. I agree with PP about quality of life.
I think NU would also have that. Hopkins prestigious but a reputed cutthroat grind.
Mine decided between NU and Brown (for math and arts). Went with Brown for open curriculum and access to music.
All great choices.

Great list! JHU or Brown would be the top choices and because you are looking at Biological Sciences I would choose Hopkins. PP doesn’t know what they are talking about, not cutthroat at all. High quality education, great outcomes, beautiful campus.

If cost is not a factor, Wake.

Bump

Delaware used to have the best or one of the best PT programs. Some of the others like Ohio and Penn State might have great opportunities for sports medicine- job training that can lead to opportunities if DC decides athletic training is more their interest:

Great choices! If cost isn’t a consideration, I’d probably go Delaware or Ohio State for this.

Delaware!

If you’re in state for Va, I’d also consider JMU for its strong kinesiology program, and Vcu for its great health care majors and hospital access. Also, costs.

That was my thought too. Save the money for grad school.

+1 typical student would say Davidson, but Wake is cutting edge in sports science.

Male. Govt/history/politics/IR-related. In-state VA. Doesn't qualify for any aid. Willing to pay if a distinct advantage over other options.

Gotta visit - too many good choices (don't overlook WM, it's a strong contender)

Thanks! All strong contenders so it's tough. Is doing admitted events, Monroe weekend, etc. at WM, UVA and Georgetown very soon. I think BC is out since so expensive and no conferred advantage-though love it and a lot of relatives are alum. GW out- didn't offer any merit. I don't know enough about Pomona yet- but with major DC area or Ivy seems more critical.

Does your kid like small school environment? Then Pomona. Would they thrive at a larger campus? UVA. The two schools are so different. I also can’t imagine picking Pomona over Georgetown for IR. If you’re going to spend the money, then it should be on Georgetown.

That's what we told him as he's California dreaming right now^^ I think mid-size would be best. I went to a in-state public about the size of UVA and while I had a great time it was impersonal in regards to profs/class sizes, etc. and the usual gripes about getting classes, etc.

I would lean toward Pomona or William and Mary if your kid wants that liberal arts college feel. My kid picked a liberal arts college because they wanted smaller classes, they were not 100% sure of what they wanted to study or do after college, and they wanted opportunities for undergraduate research. Both kids also wanted schools that were strong in many areas and where everyone isn’t studying the same thing. Go for UVA if they want a bigger campus experience.

Clemson- good support, no merit
Michigan State- unsure, 15000 merit
Indiana- unsure, 8000 merit
Ohio State- decent services, no merit
Miami of Ohio- good support, 24000 merit
Arizona- top support (SALT), 20000 merit
Penn State- unsure, no merit
Towson- good support, in state, 3000 merit

Miami of Ohio. Good business program, good support, good merit aid, and way closer than Arizona. Gorgeous campus too.

This would be my pick too.
