Leaving him there is not playing God. 99.9999% of the time I would be all for doing whatever it takes to rescue an American POW, but in this case I just don't see how you can justify the lives lost and now the security risk to save a man who evidence strongly suggests abandoned his post and walked away of his own volition. I feel for his family and friends but at the end of the day, he made a bad decision that was his and his alone.

Either way, it doesn't answer the question of why on Earth Rice said something that everyone plainly knows not to be true - that he was captured in battle. She's not a moron, so all I can come up with is that she was lying, for what reason I'm not entirely sure. I want to believe there's a damned good reason for all of this, but I'm struggling at this point to even imagine what it might be.

He looked pretty healthy when he got onto the helicopter. Obama should change his foreign policy over the next 2 years. Every time he has the urge to do something, he should do the opposite. It's the only way to save his presidency.

They should have just let him die as a POW. after all he's just a working class American marine. Now if he were the son of a Navy Admiral he might be worth saving. If you don't believe me, just ask Senator John McCain.
