| You know who they are. They play tennis and insist on everyone seeing them in their tennis skirt at Starbucks. They always seems to have a juicy little morsel about someone else's kid, but they would never actually call it gossip. They clearly have had Botox but say things like I would never say never to Botox. Their kids do no wrong. The say "the club" at least 4 times in even short conversations. When they meet you, they need to find out if you know someone in their circle, otherwise good luck being accepted. It goes on and on and on. Bla Bla Bla. Am I the only one experiencing this? |
| Luckily I don't have this problem.. But that's bc I live in falls church (not city) |
|
Yes, you are.Have seen them in the movies only.
You forgot to mention have they giggle when a latino busboy walks by. |
| SO MILFy though. |
| Meh. I'm in Bethesda so I see it all the time. We are not members anywhere but know plenty of people who are. Some are awesome and their club membership has no bearing on our friendship. And yet some of the biggest gossips I know are not club members. I don't hold to stereotypes very much. |
| We have no such women in our 'hood. Just normal moms pushing their kids in strollers, drinking coffee they made at home and carry in a travel mug. |
| Belle Haven much? |
| I encounter this in Arlington a decent amount. |

There are cliques everywhere, OP. It's just that some are more noticeable than others. |
| This is me. Just say "aren't those summer members just so cute trying to get in and all?!" and you'll fit right i. |

| These types are so busy, busy, busy, they take my breath away. |
+1 I was going to post the exact thing |
| I do notice moms walking areound in their tennis outfits quite a bit. I think it is strange. I am not friends with anyone like that, nor do I desire to be. It does not affect me at all. No harm, no foul. |
| I can honestly say I don't experience this much. We live in DC but know a lot of higher HHI families and I am surprised I have not run into this stereotype. I will say that most of these friends make between 400-700k (maybe the CC families are in the mil + bracket?) and most all of them are first generation money (maybe the CC thing has more appeal when its something you grew up with?). |
