Those of us who saw the more or less live video of seditionists being let into one gate show that it was, to an extent, an inside job. I suppose it probably sounds a little conspiratorial and crazy but the radical right has infiltrated everywhere. For two of them to wink and let them in while their fellow officers were getting the life beat out of them… well, I wish they could clean the government of the people whose loyalties lie elsewhere. |
Don't forget they knew which windows to break to enter the Capitol; they disabled certain Congresspeople's "alert buttons" and now the Speaker of the House providing footage gives a road map of security protocols for the future insurrectionists. |
I still wonder whether some of the officers who died by suicide were those who let people in. |
NO UGH They were heros that day. |
I don’t think so and I don’t think, absent proof, that it’s right to speculate on that. We know there were officers who let people in just as we know there were officers and management across multiple agencies who knew of specific warnings and knew what was coming (some of them because they had helped plan it, and we know this given that the seditionists knew the rather out of the way locations where the windows had not been updated to the strongest), but the way to address this is investigations and prosecutions. Not sullying the names of those who are no longer here to defend themselves against accusations of treachery. |
