Entertaining this weekend and looking for something easy for the crudite. I'm actually a fan of sour cream and onion but hoping to be slightly classier

Ranch dip mix combined with sour cream. Mix, refrigerate, voila! Not classy enough?

Spinach dip:

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayo
1 package dry veg soup mix
3 scallions, white/ lt green parts only, sliced finely
1 small can water chestnuts, diced
1 10 oz package frozen spinach, thawed and drained

Mix together, add salt/ pepper/ cayenne (as you like). Store overnight to blend flavors.

Before serving, stir. I serve in a breadbowl but by itself is also super-tasty.

My favorite (which I usually use) is Lipton Onion Soup Mix in Sour Cream (One package to 16 oz sour cream).

If you are looking for something a little more classier, then go with the Knorr's Spinach Dip http://www.knorr.com/recipes/detail/9278/1/knorr-spinach-dip
I sometimes buy a King's Hawaiin bread (round), cut a big bowl out of the middle and put the dip in the bread bowl. Then I cut the bread into cubes and put in a regular bowl. Many people like to eat the bread dipped in the spinach dip. I put the bread bowl in the middle of a large round plate and put the crudites around the bowl, then leave the bowl of bread cubes next to the crudite plate.

I buy a pound of Whole Foods yellowfin tuna, add a teaspoon of anchovy paste, and blend it until creamy. Add a chopped hard-boiled egg and a diced tomato. Chill and decorate with capers, lemon.

The bowl is always empty after 20 minutes.

I have never heard of this before! Raw tuna dip for veggies?

It's not raw. You've never had the yellowfin tuna salad at Whole Foods? It's so good. Yellow fin tuna with lots of chopped veggies and good mayo.

White bean dip - food network has recipe online. Just keep in mind that the garlic gets stronger if you make it ahead of time and refrigerate it.

I used Fage total as the base, then mix in herbs - whatever I have in the pantry or garden.

If you want to do sour cream and onion, here is a home made version using caramelized onions. I read the reviews first and I think I put it in the blender to smooth it out rather than serve it chunky, and I also think I reduced the mayo.
