I am a middle class nobody, been working in DC for about 30 years. I have - in writing - texts with my family that I was worried about what was going to happen downtown on 1/6. If a dummy like me knew it, Nancy Pelosi etc. should have known it.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but, how did an idiot like me express fears of pretty much this exact scenario and no official law enforcement body was prepared?

Why do you think the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms were fired?! Do you think the Speaker collects and reviews the intel? You are aware there is a separation between legislative and executive branches? You are aware the head of the executive branch was behind the nightmare?

Police knew, too. FBI had numerous tips, as did many other agencies. But, they failed to prepare, and failed to act. The question is why? Are they really that incompetent? And if so, they should be investigated, and incompetent individuals removed. Or, were they secretly hoping it would succeed?

And, they knew at the Pentagon, too. But rather than defending the Capitol, Pentagon sent troops to guard military facilities and military officials' homes while REFUSING to send help to defend the Capitol.
