I am so angry at the people who don't vaccinate

My youngest is just 6 weeks old so has not had her shots yet. And after hearing the stories of measles exposure in Fairfax and Loudon, I am so worried. She wasn't in any of the places listed, of course, but I have 2 older children that go to school, play sports, go to birthday parties, etc.
I think the non- vaxers should all have to go live on an island somewhere.

Yes, it's kind of selfish to not be vaccinating against the big diseases for which vaccines have been around for decades.

But really, OP, there's very slim chance that anyone in your family will be affected, so try not to worry or focus on it. It's wasted effort.

Measles are not a very dangerous disease people. The only problem is, that these days everybody gets vaccinated against everything so doctors don't know, how to treat certain diseases properly. There is a reason why you are not required to vaccinate your children - because it is not necessary as long as you know, what you are doing.

What is wrong about measles not being a dangerous disease? I've had it, tons of children in my childhood had it...it wasn't a big deal. It's not the disease that's the problem, it's not treating it right, that's the problem.
If you want to vaccinate your children against measles, go ahead. But you can't expect all parents everywhere to adhere to your view of the world.

Right, because YOU know what you're doing, not those doctors. YOU've seen many cases of measles and know just how to treat them, unlike those silly doctors who just THINK they went to medical school and learned about diseases like measles. I mean, YOU know better, because YOU read Dr. Mercola and a couple of other websites and totally know that you can beat measles and it's not worth vaccinating.
Good lord, help us if the education system has led to such a terrible breakdown in basic scientific education. This is ridiculous. Lady, go live by yourself somewhere so the rest of us don't have to suffer the effects of the combination of your ignorance and arrogance.
