| Has anyone received lottery results for the Montgomery County immersion programs yet? They indicated upon application that results would be mailed in "late April." I suppose that means they may be mailing results today (!), just curious whether anyone had received a letter yet. Thanks in advance! |

Anxiously waiting here too. Some earlier posts seem to suggest we may hear in early May:

| If you live in the the area zoned for Potomac Elementary, do ou automatically get into Chinese Immersion. If not, what are the chances? |

i think if you live in the potomac elementary area you have been practically guaranteed a spot in previous years.
this is what i have heard: last year apparently there was initially a small waitlist with potomac students. they took NO ONE from outside the neighborhood last year and that was a first. my impression was that they went through the wait list and everyone who wanted to get a spot got one but i may be remembering incorrectly. |

| My daughter got into both the French at Maryvale and the Mandarin program at College Gardens. For those on the wait list at CG, it will move up at least one spot as we plan to accept at Maryvale. |

I have a friend who was offered a spot at SCES for French, and they got their letter yesterday. I wonder if they only mailed the letters to families who received spots first?
