What’s with those weird straps across their mouth? Reminds me of a horse’s bit. Why aren’t they under the chins?

If Northern Ireland leaves, would Scotland be next?

Undoubtedly. NI actually has an exit clause due to Johnson violating the Good Friday Agreement thanks to Brexit. Scotland doesn't but once they see a unified Ireland, there's no way they won't demand a referendum - either legally or by force. England's choice.

The interesting thing - is what does that mean for the throne. Just like the former Commonwealth realms that are now republics - they can leave the monarchy. But Ireland and Scotland are the reason the U.K.'s entire concept of a conglomerate of realms is in action.

The Republican Federation of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to come?

RFEISW? REFISW? WEISRF?

I don't know about Northern Ireland but Scotland isn't going anywhere. They continue to poll in favor of remaining.

Only because Scotland has a very large elderly population. In ten years the polling will be very different as the monarchists die.

You sure about that?

Interesting
They have the ceremonial soldiers standing in order of height

Is that not discrimination? Obviously only one white person per height category is chosen.

I doubt he’s still with the girlfriend. My guess is he has someone new. I think they’re standing on stairs and not in height order.

His family line has a history of loyalty...just not to their wives. His great-great-grandfather kept Alice Keppel for two years. His grandfather Phillip was also with each of his chosen paramours for decades. His father? Self-explanatory.

I laughed out loud.

….and it’s certainly true.

It wasn’t even subtle. Anyone know where *checks* Liverpool is?

This is quite surprising, isn't it? It's England, not Wales or Scotland or a Commonwealth country.

Has there been any similar display in England before?

Wonder if Harry and Meghan are ever going to give the public a decent picture of their kids..I bet they do the back of Archie's head again! Or maybe his foot?

Why do you want to see pictures of other people’s kids so badly? Creepy

Archie and Lilly are private citizens. Why would their parents release their pictures? Can you imagine the outcry if they did?

dp Not quite. If Archie and Lily were totally private than we wouldn't know anything about them. No video of Archie on the beach, no reading a book when he turned one, no Christmas picture of their family. At least the Cambridge kids are shown once a year in a formal picture and that satisfies the public's natural curiosity.

Everything that you have listed is crap that every day Joe schmo’s do. Christmas cards and social media posts don’t a public citizen make. [/quote

Your card is regularlyseen by millions worldwide on many tv networks? Meghan married Harry so she wouldn'tbe regular people. She is a Dutchess!]

Wow! Those boos are something else. It sounds like they have much more to worry about than Archie’s complexion.

Apparently Liverpool boos often at their games. Nothing personal about William but about some grievances from a long time ago.

Nah, the monarchy is swirling the drain.

William and Kate wanted to be country aristos for so long. Guess they didn’t realize what it took.

Love the monarchy. But if it goes one good thing is this thread would finally die and all the weirdly obsessed haters would have to find something else to obsessively hate.

Obsessive updates were fine with you before - I guess only hairbows and wigs are your forte.

It’s way more weird to love the monarchy. Your kind is dying out thankfully.

If he had even a modicum of compassion for his brother I might even feel sorry for him.

Good luck with all the pressure of being a ‘separate’ entity with no support.

“I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more; we’re separate entities,” William reportedly told the friend. “I’m sad about that.”

Did he really cry? I’m surprised.
