Forget Northern Ireland, can you be Prince of Wales if there's no Welsh monarchy?

I feel like Northern Ireland would be more painful to them than losing a commonwealth country.

If Northern Ireland leaves, would Scotland be next?

Undoubtedly. NI actually has an exit clause due to Johnson violating the Good Friday Agreement thanks to Brexit. Scotland doesn't but once they see a unified Ireland, there's no way they won't demand a referendum - either legally or by force. England's choice.

The interesting thing - is what does that mean for the throne. Just like the former Commonwealth realms that are now republics - they can leave the monarchy. But Ireland and Scotland are the reason the U.K.'s entire concept of a conglomerate of realms is in action.

The Republican Federation of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to come?

RFEISW? REFISW? WEISRF?

So William was walked into chambers today by his girlfriend's husband...his face.

Interesting
They have the ceremonial soldiers standing in order of height

Is that not discrimination? Obviously only one white person per height category is chosen.

I doubt he’s still with the girlfriend. My guess is he has someone new. I think they’re standing on stairs and not in height order.

I don't know about Northern Ireland but Scotland isn't going anywhere. They continue to poll in favor of remaining.

The salary is peanuts. No one who is not already unconcerned about money would be able to live off it.

They pay in prestige. And they cannot afford to pay a lot, since the taxpaying public, including you, would throw fits.

They’re not even paying the going rate for a personal assistant in Britain. Just stop, fangirl. The royals are cheap as shit and the optics of this are horrible. Her crappy Golden Girls wardrobe budget is probably greater on a weekly basis.

Funny you mention that. Her wardrobe for a single 'foreign' tour to Ireland, to be worn once, cost more than this poor girl will make in a year.

dp Actually, the press is always commiting on how Kate repeats clothes on herself and the children all the time!

And the children

Let's face it you critics will never be satisfied. You obsess over everything they wear and then critize if you believe they only wear an outfit once! Meanwhile there are outfits I have only worn once as we all have ( Wedding dress anyone?) Granted they spend more but, they have the whole world looking at them.

Wonder if Harry and Meghan are ever going to give the public a decent picture of their kids..I bet they do the back of Archie's head again! Or maybe his foot?

Only a weirdo or child groomer get excited about pictures of strangers’ children.

People have been enjoying pictures of the Royals forever and nobody called them "groomers" How sad you see the world the way you do.

Why do you want to see pictures of other people’s kids so badly? Creepy

Archie and Lilly are private citizens. Why would their parents release their pictures? Can you imagine the outcry if they did?

dp Not quite. If Archie and Lily were totally private than we wouldn't know anything about them. No video of Archie on the beach, no reading a book when he turned one, no Christmas picture of their family. At least the Cambridge kids are shown once a year in a formal picture and that satisfies the public's natural curiosity.

DP. I don’t have a problem with her wearing expensive clothes as it kind of goes with the whole Princess thing. However, her clothing allowance, even with the repeats is understated because they don’t release the prices of bespoke pieces which she wears a lot. So the re-wears are just a drop in the bucket. The teal tragedy is how fugly most of her clothes are.

Everything that you have listed is crap that every day Joe schmo’s do. Christmas cards and social media posts don’t a public citizen make.

His family line has a history of loyalty...just not to their wives. His great-great-grandfather kept Alice Keppel for two years. His grandfather Phillip was also with each of his chosen paramours for decades. His father? Self-explanatory.
