As for "unrealistic", I have never heard a single comment from a parent on our team with an expectation of playing at a top 10 program. Not even for making Capital. Not one, in 4 years. A few have talked about their DD's hope to "play in college"--which is entirely realistic--but that's about it.

For those of us who just got off a 4 tournament, multi-camp/clinic June schedule, in an extended heat wave, "entitled" doesn't hit the mark either. This is hard work, and even more so for the players.

And agree that Capital's policies and approach prevent the nonsense that apparently people are seeing at other clubs.

MD teams are still playing tournaments. Along with multiple showcases. Just sayin’.

Are you saying the MD teams have continuity as they all will field the same core group in HS, so they have a July schedule, unlike the DC area teams where top players transition to Capital? Or are you saying MD players have a tougher July schedule? The first point is noted, but obvious. The second is not true for folks I know, with the exception of participation in the US Club Lax tournament for the top 16.

Wrong I don’t wear HUK shirts, in fact I don’t wear any shirts to summer tournaments. The stars lax moms seem to like it and I’ve gotten a few whistles from some lady refs.

I’m also confused on this. If Pride, STJ and YJS contribute players to CLC, it should be a good team.

I guess the outstanding question is whether the Pride girls would leave a highly ranked team.

It’s also likely that BLC, YJMA and others contribute at least a player or two.

I’m late to the convo so maybe I missed this if it’s already been discussed.
