Not looking forward to Easter at in laws. Very poor communicators, very passive aggressive, MIL just wants a perfect family pic to post on facebook. |
No, because that would signify drug dependency, which is not optimal. |
OP, I can empathize with you. Luckily, no IL's for me today but there is not enough xanax in the world to make a day with them even ok. Good luck. |
Not Xanax, but I'm currently hiding in my room pumping milk, glad for a reason to avoid in laws I can't stand at all. The baby is sick and I was up all night and my MIL and SIL both chain smoke (outside) and I just can't deal with watching my sick baby have to soak up the fumes. I wish I could give THEM xanaxes, actually, because the are both anxious messes. Calgon, take me away. |
Xanax, wine, whatever. |
Yup. They just left though. Best visit yet- thanks to Xanax followed by a beer. |
Do we have the same ILs? Horrible at communication (we're more confused AFTER talking to them than before), passive-aggressive, wants us to play a part in her unrealistic "perfect extended family" image she projects to the world. We actually told ILs we had plans for Easter that didn't include them (they only asked last week what we were doing) and the drama that ensued ... oh, brother. |
No. I make the plans for our family so our time with them is pretty limited and I set it up in the least annoying fashion for me. |
I love his family but I don't enjoy get togethers with them |
LOL too late! May I have an amnesia med in lieu of xanax?
|
I just spent a week with mine... Overseas on vacation!!
There were many glasses of wine consumed... |
I don't do drugs plus I'm not a hateful, ungrateful DIL. One day won't hurt your bitch ass to be nice. |
MIL, is that you? What are you doing here on DCUM? |
Funny how they showed "Monster In Law" on TV this am! ![]() |
Nope. My ILs are awesome! Interacting with my family, however......... |
