it doesn't sound like much of a lie - was the cash in the envelope already or did you see the person put the cash in the envelope. Something minor about when she was told to get it.

The fact that teh assistant went to home depot and was ordering stuff for studio right afterwards makes me think there is no involvement

Side note here.

This story doesn't need media sensationalism. I hate that various media outlets say that the box truck was filled with 10,000 in cash - like the entire box compartment was busting at the seems with bills when it is more likely that the 10k was in the front cab and consisted of 100 $100 notes.

Just a rant that is all.

I found the description in the charging document shown in Bruce Leshan's tweet to be rather confusing: https://twitter.com/BruceLeshan/status/601823625021370368

what. what does this mean

Maybe this is based on statements made by Wint or his confederates - that they went to kidnap SS to hold him for ransom.

I have no idea what it means

From WTOP:

Investigators say a Maryland man killed the chief executive of a local business while attempting to kidnap him from his family’s multi-million house in Northwest D.C.

If we want to know "how could he?" we need to learn about his past.

charging orders make it clear others involved. man driving the porche had short well-groomed hair. Wearing vest (several other vests found at residence).

Not much pizza was eaten.

I think a home invasion is technically kidnapping, bc you are being held somewhere and not allowed to leave.

I think the intent was to kill everyone and then douse them all with gasoline and burn them and any evidence. But they were in separate rooms and the fire started in the child' bedroom and then didn't fully ignite the other room. It is clear that the other three were killed by trauma because their bodies were never consumed in flame. The child is unclear at best, but likely also beat (please, god quickly) and dead or nearly so (i.e. unconscious) when fire started.

I'd like to think he was in the other room, his bedroom, in bed out of kindness. They were letting the kid lie down.

Out of kindness? It would be nice to believe that, but I don't. Phillip's cause of death was thermal injuries: BURNS and sharp force injuries: STAB wounds. No kindness involved. It was sick, sadistic behavior. How horrifying for his family to have to know these details.

Wint was 20.

it will be interesting if we learn that this guy was just a flunky- there eating pizza but not the "devil" that stabbed and killed the family. He only had 10,000. Are there three others? I'm somehow relived to learn it wasn't just one person. If one person could do this, just one person, I feel much less safe.

so it is just legal language for what happened.
