Pleased to see my alma mater and my DH’s on this list! I’ve always thought my school was beautiful but tastes vary. I do feel that quaint New England SLACs are a dime a dozen. Lots of pretty ones but not much to differentiate them. One thing about this list is that many of these schools are in very striking and unusual locations, paired with beautiful architecture. It would be hard to recreate many of these campuses elsewhere. |

I read the lists on the links. Flagler in St. Augustine, Florida is beautiful but so hot. And the poor students are right smack in the middle of a retirement community. I would be distracted by the beach. The same could be said for Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. I don't think I would enjoy the location of those colleges as a student.
Salve Regina in Newport, Rhode Island is another school I have visited in a vacation destination. It is truly beautiful. Cold weather. I have visited Pepperdine in San Diego. Yes. Beautiful location and weather. |
| Yale - most beautiful urban campus! The architecture, the courtyards, the gates, the sculpture, the windows, the density. All just beautiful. Unlikely my daughters will be able to attend, but we had a nice visit. |
When I visited, thought it seemed so dark and dreary. Just not to my taste. |
| Madison—on an isthmus. |
| Northwestern, such a beautiful and unique locale. |
Harvard has the liveliest vibe, Yale has the most impressive architecture, and Princeton has the most beautiful campus. |
| West Coast schools: UCLA, UCSD, University of San Diego. |
| Pepperdine |
| Elon. Gardens and fountains are all over the place |
| Ole Miss is really beautiful. |
