| If Langley is so wonderful, why is it under capacity? Why is no one moving to Great Falls? |
| Why was McLean under capacity 30 years ago? Was it a bad school? |
|
Hmmmm.... let's keep changing the topic away from the school board and its candidates.
Very productive. |
Good to know. Do these same folks endorse Keys-Gamarra, which wanted to keep McLean overcrowded while the board worked on boundary policy, and then reversed herself a few months later when the earlier position became politically inconvenient? Either she gives too much weight to one distict (inexcusable for an at large rep) or she doesn't believe in the One Fairfax lens enough to stand by it when parents start paying attention. That might influence how much consideration I give those endorsements. |
|
Keys Gamarra didn't "want to keep McLean overcrowded." For much of 2019, she wanted the Board to revise its boundary policy before making further boundary changes.
When that proved more time-consuming than she and other Board members had anticipated, she was among those who agreed they should go ahead and authorize a McLean/Langley boundary study by amending the FY 2020-23 CIP. That was a sensible decision and it reflects more favorably on her than it does on Schultz and Wilson, who refused to endorse the CIP amendment in September. I hope those jerks get voted out. At least when Keys Gamarra didn't want further boundary changes earlier in the year it was about policy, not petty politics. |
I'm sure everyone of those endorsers supports Keys-Gamarra. It's basically the FCDC. You know, the ones who support Abrar Omeish, a 24 year old with no experience. |

Mobasheri---Grease 2 and he's Johnny--talks and looks tough and like the leader of the pack until Balmudo shows up lol. |
|
Sorry. I went on a brief tangent casting candidates in Grease when someone mentioned it. I posted that by mistake.
Back to the topic at hand. |
We have 2-5 acre lots here
|
Seems like a larger and more diverse group than Lauren Shupp and Erin Lobato, who seem to do most of the lifting for Voices of Fairfax. |
Were the lots combined into larger properties recently? Langley used to have far more kids. |
|
There are 2 types of people in Dranesville: those who think Ardavan is a waste of energy and ballot space and those who haven’t met him yet. He is an arrogant misogynist who behaves like a 5 year old.
I find it surprising that the FCDC hasn’t said anything about him having sought their endorsement. I guess they think he’s taking Anastasia’s voters and not Elaine’s. I guess it is bad practice to comment on those you don’t support but I admire Elaine Thilen’s restraint in not saying it (at least as far as I have heard). |
Families tend to stay here for decades, even after the kids have gone to college. And I wouldn’t say “no one” is moving to GF. Several new families have moved into our neighborhood in the past few months. |
Good grief. Neighborhoods all over the US go through this all the time. They are built and lots of young families move in and the elementary schools explode. Kids get older, high schools explode. And, then there are very few kids for a while. Then, slowly the original owners move out and others move in and the cycle starts again. Repeat. And, repeat. It happens throughout Fairfax and the US. It happened in the neighborhood where I grew up. |
| Wait..... Ardavan sought through Democratic endorsment? That’s rich.... isn’t he supposed to be the “one and only true independent”??? ? |
