Everyone who cares knows the club was sold. Also, everyone who has asked the coaches directly knows where practices will be held. Not sure why you decided otherwise all by yourself. Shrug, believe what you want though. |
The club is named after a facility. Keep telling yourself DA will stay 40 miles away from that facility. And in fact, this time next year I look forward to the press release from the St. Hames Soccer Club. John Cougar > John Cougar Mellencamp > John Mellencamp FC Virginia > St. James FC Virginia > St. James FC Evergreen > Evergreen / St James > St. James /Fairfax I mean FCV told you all about this change BEFORE you paid your deposit so I’m sure you’re right and it will never happen. The new owners will be more than happy to keep paying on that Evergreen lease that keeps people out of their facility. Look at what makes sense and is most likely more than what you are hoping for. No matter what your coaches tell you the ultimate decision is no longer theirs. |
It is the indoor practices that are moving to Springfield. What possible motivation would STJ have for purchasing the franchise, if not to get your FCV bodies into the Springfield facility? |
So, you think parents should leave a good team with good coaches because a year from now they might move? Nah. So much changes year to year for all the clubs. Like any rational person, if a move happens, we will re-evaluate. But running off in a panic now seems premature and rash. |

FCV parents are using the same argument that WSVA are using, but according to FCVDAD it's not good enough for Metro Utd, but totally good enough for STJ FCV.
BTW Love how STJ co-opted a WSVA thread.. |
FCVDAD can say whatever...not all people at every club think alike. It's weird that you're so worked up about it. Good luck to Metro, no dog in that fight. Hope things turn around for them. |
OOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKK so The Jimmy is cool paying that bill for field space. Why buy a club that is supposed to make you money only to spend money. Sounds like a great business plan. Kinda like $400 for jumping jacks. I'm sure they will honor all three years of that contract at Evergreen. Assuming Evergreen isn't purchased. And we all know how contracts in youth soccer goes, see FCV and every partner for the last decade. |
Dude relax. I dont even live in VA so I have no skin in the game but youre making yourself look like a fool right now. To say a new owner of a club HAS to move their entire operation to one specific area is stupid. It shows you know nothing about acquisitions and the like. |
Does St James have an outdoor facility with a bunch of fields that Im not aware of? |
If you saw the facility and the massive debt associated with that facility you would understand the situation better. If you saw understood the traffic distance you would understand. The new owners are in the Gym business, not the youth sports business. |
Lol. ok. (I know the area well, btw). Your points are stupid. |
They have arranged for field space nearby. Of course the coaches are not disclosing the location of the specific fields. |
Believe what you want...seems like you're very vested in them moving. Not sure why it matters to you if you're not involved. No one is going to change clubs based on your invented logic on an anonymous message board. A year from now there's literally 1,000 scenarios that can happen in youth soccer. Switching with every change that may or may not happen isn't for me. Good team/good coaches, no evidence of a move, no reason to run off. To each their own. |
Damn, so I guess all the new Baltimore Armour DA girls will have to be driving to BALTIMORE since BALTIMORE is in its name? Dont be ignorant. |
How so? |
