Kavanaugh vote postponed. Judiciary Committee hearing on Sexual Assault complain Monday.

Lots and lots of women have dealt with overly agressive male behavior in high school and beyond. The pinning down and hand over the mouth behavior is f..ed up. She is in a tough position. A supreme court nomination was too much. At what point is the behavior so questionable and the position so powerful that a woman feels a responsibility to step up?

Perhaps check how you're raising your boy.

Don’t have boys, but good luck raising yours.

Do you get the point?

Don’t let boys sexually assault women (allegedly)?

Nobody LETS boys sexually assault women first of all.

I hope you are teaching your daughter not to put herself into a dangerous position either.

1. I’m teaching my 16 year old son that consent means enthusiam. And that sex is not something you ever talk or force someone into— physically or by being emotionally manipulative. If the other party is not as enthusiastic as you are, it’s a no go. If the other party is in no condition to give consent, it’s a no go.

2. I’m teaching my 14 year old DD to always stay with at least one other girl, to never go into a situation alone with a boy, like being driven home, unless she knows him well and trusts him, to always pour her own drink, etc., etc.

Now I know I also need to teach her not to go to the bathroom at parties.

My DD should be able to enjoy herself at a party, the same as my son, without keeping a hand on her drink at all times or keep track of her friends. But in the real world she can’t.

You forgot that she needs to wear a 1 piece since it is harder for the rapist to get it off and you have time to run.

She says was walking to the bathroom and got pulled into the bedroom. How is that putting oneself in a dangerous position?

Fixed it for you.

Yep. And what if someone else at that party says that she was drunk and begging for it? See the problem here? What someone SAYS happens isn't TRUTH.

Good point.

Actually this is a good point. That is all cops need to not convict a rape, somebody said something.

Notice, too, not one liberal will comment on the post above that no prosecutor would touch a case like this. Which is why it works in politics, because all politics needs to destroy someone is the support of the press and the gullibility of the American people.

Liberal attorney. The FBI has no jurisdiction right now so they haven’t investigated. Until there is an investigation, it doesn’t get referred to a prosecutor. .

The underlying rape attempt is a MD state crime. The DA of MoCo would be the one with jurisdiction. And they just found out (checks notes) Sunday night. They haven’t known since July. They have to investigate first.

The other way they get jurisdiction is part of a background check. But it was complete and needs to be reopened. The WH needs to sign off on that. So, that investigation is Trump blocked.

Even the FBI needs a jurisdictional basis to act. They don’t have one.

Bigger question: why is Trump afraid to sign off on reopening the background check so the FBI can investigate?

Agree. But, it is her word against his. Why do you believe her over him?
Her memory seems to be quite selective here.

Because you don't forget stuff like that. Trauma and danger stick around for a long time in memory.

Because her story is credible and she has otherwise no reason to open up her life and her family life to the circus that will ensue.

I'm starting to remember that Chuck Schumer was inappropriately touching me when in lived in NYC in the 80's. It was definitely him. I remember that part for sure.

This is pot calling kettle...Kavanaugh has displayed the most selective and evasive memory during his hearing...he has every reason to lie and she has none.

Credible how?

Nothing. There is and never should be a standard of proof for lifetime tenure on the Supreme Court. Nominate, confirm, appoint, impeach if appropriate.

Because doxxing and death threats and swatting and the end of her personal privacy, and putting her family through this (especially if she has kids) and being humiliated by Orin Hatch on TV on Monday and being insulted and question on DCUM and much worse on 4chan. Because she, personally, gains very little. And has a lot to lose, not matter what the outcome. Because no one wants to become Monica Lewinsky or Anita Hill (who Orin Hatch still doesn’t believe), with 25 years of professional career gone, and being known only for this.

Because she knew this and tried to stay anonymous.

Because of a lie detector test and therapists notes that predate the nomination by years. Which I, in fact, do trust the WaPo to vet, but expect the Senate Judiciary Committee to review as well.

She discussed it with therapist and husband said she specifically said Kavanaugh’s name in therapy. She has everything to lose by coming out.

You should go public, and open your life up to the same attention and death threats and media circus. If you pass a poly, I’ll believe you too.
