GOP Corruption at Every Level

Looking at jobs and deficits:

Reagan: 15M jobs
$79B to $159B

Bush: 2M jobs
$153B to $255B

Clinton: 23M jobs
$255B to $128B surplus

Bush 1.5M jobs
$128B surplus to $1T debt

Obama 12M jobs
1.16T to $585B

Trump 5M jobs
$585B to $1.1T

I perceive a certain bias there...Obama is the 8-trillion-debt President.

Clinton was our last great President.

Plenty of D’s and R’s In every section. The GOP is corrupt, but it’s either extreme ignorance, or extreme naïveté to think Democrats are not just as corrupt. Threads like this are why things never change, both parties make each other out to be the devil-incarnate so neither side ever listens to the other. If what makes you love or hate someone-or pay attention to their indiscretions-is the ‘D’ or ‘R’ in front of their name, you’re just plain dumb

No the Democrats are NOT just as corrupt. Not that they are totally innocent, but there is a level of brazen and widespread malfeasance in this administration that has not been seen in any other, either R or D.

Did you even look at the Wikipedia page?

And on this page which lists those actually convicted if you do a “find on page” search for “(D-“ and “(R-“
you end up with 46 results for (D-
39 results for (R-

Just sayin’

Have you even read this whole thread? Guarantee not all of these are on the Wikipedia page. And all of them have occurred just in the past two years.

“Two top officials with the Department of Housing and Urban Development admitted at a congressional hearing this week that the agency knowingly missed a legally required deadline that would have made desperately needed hurricane relief funding available to Puerto Rico.

HUD’s chief financial officer, Irv Dennis, and David Woll, the department's principal deputy assistant secretary for community planning and development, made the admission Thursday before a House Appropriations subcommittee.

The two told bewildered lawmakers that the agency missed the congressionally mandated deadline to issue a notice that would have kicked off a monthslong process to help Puerto Rico get billions in federal housing funds Congress allocated after Hurricane Maria devastated the island in 2017.

“HUD did fail to comply with the law,” said Rep. David Price, D-N.C., said at the hearing.

The housing agency was supposed to issue funding notices to 18 states affected by disasters on Sept. 4. They published all the notices except Puerto Rico’s. The publication of the notice would have allowed Puerto Rico to start drafting a plan that would create the structures needed to manage the much-needed funds.”

And regressives wonder why we think they’re stupid and cruel.

Here’s one of the reasons, kids. You support stupid and cruel policies.

Scott B. Mackenzie’s plea to filing false reports with the Federal Election Commission in federal court in Alexandria comes weeks after fellow operative Kelley Rogers admitted broader donor fraud.

Mackenzie, who worked on the political campaigns of Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp and Patrick J. Buchanan, agreed to pay $172,000 in restitution. The 66-year-old Arlington resident will be sentenced on Feb. 21 and could face up to five years in prison; he declined to comment after the plea.

“A Los Angeles financier who donated $900,000 to President Donald Trump’s inaugural committee has been charged with falsifying records to hide his work as a foreign agent while he lobbied prominent U.S. government officials, federal prosecutors announced Tuesday.

Shah Zuberi, 49, also known as “Imaad Zuberi,” has agreed to plead guilty to three counts in a criminal information for allegedly making almost $1 million in illegal campaign contributions, engaging in various lobbying efforts, and evading taxes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Central District of California.”

“Political appointees at the Department of Veterans Affairs failed to follow a new law on disciplining employees and protecting whistleblowers, and instead used it to mount shoddy and biased investigations, according to the agency’s watchdog.

In a blistering report released Thursday, the VA’s inspector general said the department’s Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection investigated things it shouldn’t have, didn’t investigate things it was required to and bungled the investigations it did do. It also misspent funds. President Donald Trump created the office with an executive order in 2017, and Congress then codified it into law. Trump frequently points to it as one of his signature legislative accomplishments.”

Jennifer Harrison, founder of the right-wing group AZ Patriots, was arrested in Arizona this week on suspicion of identity theft. Harrison became a viral sensation back in August after a video surfaced of her wearing a MAGA hat at a Tucson City Council meeting while protesting an immigration proposal that would prohibit police from inquiring about a person’s immigration status.

“The Missouri state health director, Dr. Randall Williams, testified at a state hearing Tuesday that he kept a spreadsheet to track the menstrual periods of women who visited Planned Parenthood.

Williams said the spreadsheet was made at his request by the state’s main investigator to identify patients who had undergone failed abortions.”
