Holy god.

Forced birthers should ________ (be quiet). The long bar is my real thoughts, excised for ban-able content. This is so, so disgusting.

To the PP who brought up the devos family - who do you think has the girls who were taken from the border? Where were they sold?

Not PP but the DeVos family has given millions to Bethany Christian Services.

Jesus - that is unconscionable. And the fcking hypocrisy should be staggering but given that it's a GOP politician it's sadly not - it's expected.

And Ducey’s administration has done nothing for these poor women.

“Officials made a big announcement about Petersen’s adoption fraud arrest. Patted themselves on the back.

So what did they do for the pregnant women at center of it all? Apparently nothing.”

What strikes me reading this amazing thread is the sheer number of corrupt Tea Party politicians. These are (mostly) men who wrapped themselves in the Constitution and our flag to gain political power. A constant refrain we heard was that the federal government was corrupt which is a charge that was demonstrably false - the US had the world’s best civil service staffed with highly qualified and ethical career professionals. When you read this thread you cannot help but conclude that their “ corrupt” charge was projection. These are people who cannot imagine that people with political power would be anything but corrupt because of their own inclinations. Meadows, Jordan, Mulvaney, Pence, Nunes and many of the people mentioned in this thread

What amazes me is that you think certain people who were mentioned in this thread by a DCUM liberal are automatically guilty of corruption.
One thing I have learned reading this board is that DCUM liberals too often state opinion as fact. And, others believe them.

The scale and scope of GOP corruption is breathtaking. It is a reminder that populist movements that eschew institutions are vulnerable to being coopted by people who are willing to bend or break rules or norms because they can justify it with a “the end justifies the means” fig leaf. An interesting article about how the GOP became so corrupt

Plenty of D’s and R’s In every section. The GOP is corrupt, but it’s either extreme ignorance, or extreme naïveté to think Democrats are not just as corrupt. Threads like this are why things never change, both parties make each other out to be the devil-incarnate so neither side ever listens to the other. If what makes you love or hate someone-or pay attention to their indiscretions-is the ‘D’ or ‘R’ in front of their name, you’re just plain dumb

No the Democrats are NOT just as corrupt. Not that they are totally innocent, but there is a level of brazen and widespread malfeasance in this administration that has not been seen in any other, either R or D.

Vanity Fair has a story about mysterious and hugely profitable stock trades that occurred just before a Presidential tweet that would ultimately move the markets

I am hard pressed to understand how/why the GOP keeps getting elected

Looking at jobs and deficits:

Reagan: 15M jobs
$79B to $159B

Bush: 2M jobs
$153B to $255B

Clinton: 23M jobs
$255B to $128B surplus

Bush 1.5M jobs
$128B surplus to $1T debt

Obama 12M jobs
1.16T to $585B

Trump 5M jobs
$585B to $1.1T

There are some calls for this to be investigated. Needs to be. Someone earned billions on this.

I think it's pretty simple. The racism runs deep in this country.

And here is another example of a house member screwing staff members, absolutely disgusting behavior. Always the GOP doing bad behavior.

Yup. Reps. Ted Lieu and Kathleen Rice have opened an investigation into this.
