Yep, I heard the same thing. His estate is estimated to be between $100 million and $800 million.

I alternate between being horribly sad and devastated that he is gone, to so damn thankful that he was such a huge part of my life. I've never been more grateful to have been born in 1973 than now - realizing that I came of age during Purple Rain and the profound effect that had on me. Such a beautiful being, Prince.

Amen. The kicker is that with Prince you just didn't see it coming. Jeez! If there were ever a person that I thought would live to be 100+, it was Prince.

PP above and I agree. When Vanity died in February, I was thinking how healthy Prince was, and how great he was doing all-around. I was gutted when I heard the news, and am just so darn sad. I wish I was back in Minneapolis right now.

My sister lives a few blocks from First Avenue and she could hear the party the night he died. Epic party.

I can only imagine. I moved to Minneapolis because of him - I still have the pic of me in front of his star on First Avenue from back in 1990. It was bigger then - hopefully they will paint a new big one now. I am so proud of how Minnesota has been honoring him - class act.

Awesome! This could be a next generation Graceland

OMG I'm there.

I find it very hard that a man that basically went to war with Warner Brothers, who was so methodical and savvy about owning his art and protecting it from free streaming, would not have a will. I mean at the very least, he was married twice and had a child (who later died of course). I don't believe that at the very least a Will was made during those important life events. I believe there is a will out there somewhere.

I saw an article that listed Tyka's address. If that's actually her home, it is only worth 125K according to Zillow. Apparently Prince didn't share his money with her. I wonder how he would have felt knowing she and the half siblings are about to inherit his millions.

Confirmed he was in possession of drugs at time of death. -WTOP

Blind Gossip just unblinded their item about him.

One would think that. At the same time, Prince probably didn't want to think about his own death. I can see him just not wanting to go there. He worried about protecting himself, his image and his artistic ownership. His child died not long after birth if I'm not mistaken.

I said this pages ago and was roundly rebuffed.

This is going to be a nightmare.

I think his business manager said he tried to convince Prince to make a will but he never would. its so odd and not in keeping with all his other business savvy and control of his brand and music. That sister looks like a hot mess. I suspect they are gonna all start fighting, blow through millions in legal fees for the next 10 years, and a court will eventually appoint someone else. She is going to destroy everything he tried to protect. He clearly wasn't giving her money for a reason. I am guessing she is a drug addict.

Allegedly he and she made a pact, that if one became rich and famous before the other, they wouldn't bother the one who hadn't made it yet - for money. At one point, she was a prostitute that was drug addicted, and he finally sent her to rehab (would not give her money outright, smartly). Now, it looks like she would be the recipient of his estate, although there is one other sibling (perhaps estranged), and many other half siblings (I don't know if they count, or how much). If this is true, it really is a mess. I hope that they do right by him, given how talented and successful he was.

Prescription pain medication according to CNN. Probably for his degenerative hips that needed replacement.

He might have put everything into a trust. Then there wouldn't be any public information.

I am so sad. Attended Minneapolis schools with Prince and Jimmy Jam. They were real all the way along.

The DEA is now suddenly involved in the
investigation to the cause of his death.

This must have to do with the report that
he was found in possession of drugs at time
of death.
