Radio is a dying business...like newspapers. They simply can't afford on air talent.

#1 they'll replace her. Possibly with someone new that hasn't been in the industry TOO long that they can pay cheaply
#2 they won't move Rose, or if they do they'll find someone to replace her down in Florida. Since FLZ is like the second home for TKS they always try to keep someone in Tampa now. Kinda like how Elvis Duran has Froggy in Miami.
#3 it's funny that people keep saying radio is a dying industry. It's not so much a dying industry as it's just become harder and more cut throat. Radio still makes a TON of money. Advertisers still pay out of the nose to get their ads to run during the morning and afternoon drive. The only difference between radio now and 20 years ago from an industry prospective is a lot less new blood. Use to be that you could get into radio by doing overnights, and then Computer automation came and they cut the overnight shift and replaced a live person with computer automation or someone voice tracking. Also no one is retiring. There's a guy in my area who's been doing radio for 50 years and has stated that he'll never retire, the only way he's leaving radio is when he dies. That's why whenever I meet someone who says they wanna do radio I say, "Yeah good luck with that. Get ready to be a board operator for 5+ years."

Good catch. Probably someone that has no idea how fake the show is as well. If you are going to start a "petition", at least double check all your facts before posting.

The difference may be that Sarah never signed a nondisclosure agreement with 107.3. A friend of mine asked her via email because he was curious how they work, and she responded by saying something to the effect that 107.3 did not make them sign a nondisclosure. So they only had to wait for the severance before discussing the show. On the other hand, the iheart/Kane Show did make them sign some sort of nondisclosure that seems to continue on to this day. I think that is why Sarah and Samy speak more openly and direct about their time at 107.3 and make more veiled comments about 99.5 and the Kane Show even if you can deduce the meaning behind what they are saying fairly easily.

She felt that if they did a roses scam on him he should not have anyone to send the roses to. He ended up sending them to a different woman. She started yelling at him that he promised her he would have a conversation with the girlfriend, etc. That's when I gave up.
I think this was ridiculous because
1- he could have told the girlfriend and she could may stayed with him anyway so this "caller" is looking crazy for bothering him
2 - why are you invested in this if you don't want to be with him
3 - maybe he and the girlfriend broke up so he has every right to send roses to someone else.
4 - why was she getting mad at him if she was done with him???
etc.
It seemed they were really reaching for a new spin on roses and this situation was not even believable.

I know people have said he brings in advertising dollars, but this is radio, one of the riskiest businesses out there, so the entire show could be gone. As others have said, this is a PR nightmare, and enough time has passed for iHeart to come up with a plan to do something.

Of course, nothing could happen, Danni leaves (well, it gets announced) and life goes on.

Similarly to Kane who does score #1 in some demos when the numbers are released, Mark and Kris claimed to be #1 in their main demo (women 18-34). They probably were telling the truth. This was the statement released when they were fired:

When they got fired, the program director was someone who had previously worked with Kane, and iheart (Clear Channel at the time) probably saw Kane as a younger, hipper person to bring to a major market. If you recall as well, Teapot Tim, who was Mark and Kris' version of the sidekick, but older, left the show a few months before when his contract expired.

I think that is when Samy came in as I believe he was on the show prior to Kane. If I recall, he was referred to as "slacker samy" before just becoming Samy. Maybe there is hope John can lose the Intern title one day then as well.

I feel like the difference between that and TKS is that I'm assuming their contracts aren't up (considering Danni just signed a 3 year contract in what, October I think people on this thread have said?
