I forgot guns. Door to door confiscation. Arrests for those you think aren't complying in the fashion you want. I think this all will definitely make things more peaceful! Start singing kumbaya - those gang members will be lining up to turn in their weapons. |
Which is exactly why people are risking their lives on boats, on foot, etc. trying to get out of here..... |
Ah, delivering the asinine slippery slope arguments right on cue. Thanks for continuing to perpetuate the stereotypes about how moronic you Tea Party types are. Makes life so much easier for us liberals. |
Ann Coulter is right on in this regard: "If we want to help African Americans, ban the Dems not their flag":
"Coulter said, “I think it’s completely moronic. I mean this is an awful awful thing that happened in Charleston. Luckily, it’s quite rare. But to jump on this and go back to a litany of liberal talking points that make Republicans look bad, how about banning the Democratic party? They were the ones supported the Confederate side of the Civil War. They were the ones that supported segregation for a hundred years. If we want to do something nice for black people, how about ending immigration which is dumping millions of low-wage workers on the country and taking jobs from African-Americans, as enumerable studies have shown. I mean there are all sorts of nice things you could be doing here.”" http://www.breitbart.com/video/2015/06/23/coulter-if-we-want-to-help-african-americans-ban-the-dems-not-their-flag/ |
Quoting Ann Coulter and Breitbart and makes you look like an uneducated fool. |
Not understanding the black man is getting screwed for a voter block is making you look like a sheep. |
That's not making you look any smarter. |
You are right. While I think removing the hate flag from gov't buildings is a step in the right direction, I'm a skeptic and think this might be another distratction technique from our good friends in Fairfax. |
Amusingly, it always seems to be the folks who go around insisting that blacks should forget about slavery and the history of oppression (which by the way still continues) and move on and put history behind them are typically the same ones who are bitterly clinging to those Confederate flags, refusing to put their own lost war and lost cause of past history behind themselves. |
Indeed!! |
Alabama had the most strict immigration law in the country. All of the "illegals" left and guess what, NO American could do those jobs. Not white or black. They even tried bringing the prisoners to work in the fields and factories. They were like, hell no - not for that wage. Alabama lost $10B in one year after the law went into effect. Produce rotted and chicken producers closed. AL has been trying to reverse the law, but it's too late. It's all highlighted in a recent episode on Vice. |
Sorry, but you know where that argument is going... none of these people have to work because they receive government assistance in the form of welfare. Cut the welfare and they will HAVE to work. |
I've always hated this flag, and I'm glad there's some real movement to take it down from government buildings. But I feel it's just a token measure that makes people feel good for the moment, and nobody cares to address the true, systemic racism that pervades every aspect of our culture.
A flag is easy. Racism, not so much. |
So what you are saying is no American WOULD do the job, not COULD. That's because they are not hungry enough. |
Next you'll be saying they are also bitterly clinging to God and guns. Oh...wait... |
