Political Discussion

People keep saying the Democratic Party “hates” men, but it comes across as a teenager stomping off to their room shouting “Why do you hate me?????” when all that happened was they were asked to take out the garbage.
These are men who would rather burn down the world and rearrange all of society rather than change themselves even a fraction of an inch for the better. It’s an exortionist mindset. Trying to emulate it or appeal to it is a waste of time. Democrats have never successfully run as Republicans Lite. Voters will go for the real thing over the fake every time. Democrats need to get rid of the career politicians, get money out of politics, and start running on browdly populat issues like affordability and reining in AI. Stop thinking that the only way to lure Gen Z back into the fold is a white manly man with muscles and tattoos. Gen Z men who care about that stuff aren’t going to vote Dem. But they might vote for someone with a backbone. |
Is there a Democrat with anything more than a performative backbone. The “Schumer Swear” strategy has been so awkward. Let’s all swear! |
Weird how young men want jobs? Maybe Democrats should stop the overwhelming immigration that has replaced US citizens, many young men, with cheap foreign labor. Good jobs lead to good providers and stable marriages. when did it become moral to enrich billionaires with cheap indentured servants on the backs of our children? why is this so hard for Democrats to understand? we know republicans are evil, but Democrats used to be the party of labor and now they have turned their backs on our children. |
This sums it up. Well said. |
Interesting how you’re blaming Democrats for this, and not billionaires. Also interesting how people on welfare are told to stop being lazy, pull themselves up by their bootstraps, and level up their skills, but not young men. Maybe they just suck at competing, as MAGA is fond of saying to poor people? Also, this is not exclusively a male problem. Young women would like jobs too. |
| Should we start a thread about why younger women are so left wing? |
Ya think? Strikes me as wrong in almost every way. “Democrats have never successfully run as Republicans Lite.” What about Bill Clinton and Joe Biden? |

Young men voting for Trump in 2024 was a blip in time. Among Gen Z voters, the revulsion with Trump and Republicans is almost universal today.
A lot of people have been repelled by Democrats over the past ten years or so. And they voted accordingly one time because Democrats and progressives have been hot garbage for a long time now. That doesn't mean they are all MAGA. It's just that Democrats and the Biden geriatrics and the DEI crap doesn't resonate with the vast majority of young men. I guarantee if someone like Obama was the nominee in 2024, this conversation wouldn't exist. But Democrats made very poor choices in 2024, and people rebelled, especially young men. Maybe have an open primary next time and choose better candidates. |
Obama deported 3 million people, told Black teenagers to pull their pants up, and adopted Mitt Romney’s healthcare plan. Bill Clinton excoriated Sistah Soljah and worked with Republicans to curtail welfare. They were both by far the most popular Dem presidents of the past 50 years and would be Republican lite by today’s standards. |
Why not? This one is fiction too. |
No, they would be Democrats, not "the libs" that live in the imaginations of paid trolls. |
+1 Walz is 100% Beta Male. Doesn’t matter what he did in his previous life. That guy drips of Beta. I guarantee every masculine male out there would agree. |
The Dem mistake was made in 2020 when they nominated a politician who was almost guaranteed to fumble control back to the GOP in 2024. There was nothing the Dem Party could do to change the sequence of events that led to the 2024 Biden campaign debacle after they nominated him in 2020. Did anyone seriously think in 2020 that a career long power hungry politician would get the heck out of the way when that politician would have every right to seek re-election as the incumbent president? Competitive primaries for the incumbent party have never been logistical. We won't make that same mistake again. |
So if a Dem politician campaigned on deporting 3 million people, droning American citizens, and telling Black teenagers to pull their pants up he would be a cakewalk for the 2028 nomination? You sure about that? |
Why is it up to Democrats? Republicans aren't helping them any. Republicans are just feeding in to it. Everything is always for Democrats to fix, after Republicans broke it. And yes, they want jobs - but they want good jobs, not working in a meat packing plant or scrubbing pots and pans in a hot kitchen. Again, EVERYTHING is not the fault of immigrants, no matter how much Stephen Miller says so. |
