Also feel like we've ALL been living in two separate echo chambers. |
Out of curiosity, what realities were you avoiding? |
You voted for the party that struck down Row V. Wade. Make America Great Again doesn't stop there. It means there will be no more no fault divorce, no more woman's right to open her own bank account, no more woman sign her own mortgage, hold down a job, vote. MAGA wants to dial it way back. |
LOL? Did I? What on Earth makes you think that? |
+1 Weird that in her mind all husbands are violent abusers just simmering under the surface. Just admit that you just don't like women who choose other lives than you would. |
I voted Democrat.
I don't trust The Donald or JD Vance. I don't like trans women athletes competing in women's sports. I don't like open borders. I don't like endless wars. However I also look at facts. It took women way too long, much too long, to earn rights. The minute I see even one of those rights rolled back, all bets are off. |
We as women can't combat misogyny when we refuse to acknowledge it ourselves. |
The actual state of the presidential race, for one. |
Secretly, these type of people want to feel validated in their own choices and want to feel that the long hours and corporate BS are all worth it. They need to denigrate SAHM's to achieve this, otherwise they are fools who chose poorly. If SAHM's are equally and validated and venerated as them for the choices they make, they can't live with it. |
Quite frankly, trans agenda is also attempting to roll back women’s rights. Women’s spaces are not segregated by gender identity; they are segregated by sex. Women can’t win with either party currently. |
Run someone like Nikki Haley or Tulsi Gabbard and you will win. Continue to put up unlikeable candidates and you will continue to lose. |
I would stop litmus-testing women and try to win their votes. It’s like the Dems don’t even want the votes of women who may be personally anti-abortion while politically more open—or women who want to stay at home with children. I know many women like this here in the dmv. We voted for Harris b it our counterparts elsewhere didn’t.
It reminds me of when the women’s march kicked out Israeli feminists. Make your tent bigger, not smaller. Check your luxury beliefs. Acknowledge lower-middle class women’s economic realities and their fears about their children’s economic realities. And for the love of god stop telling moms of boys that “the future is female.” Women have sons and partners they love. |
These social justice issues have become a part of peoples identity. No matter how much things improve or how little evidence there is to support their position, they will never give up on their pet project.
It's like there is a void in their life and this is just how they fill it. I have older relatives who still ramble on about how women make 50% less than men based upon some BS study from 40 years ago. These people are never content and it's just sad. |
The reality that around half the voters in this country prefer hateful rhetoric and scapegoating from a self-professed authoritarian wannabe to any discussion of hard work to find real solutions to real problems. |
Ha! Like Trump voters are ever content. That is a good description of Trump voters. Never content. So they buy their guns and plan their overthrow of the government. Or at least of the school board. I'd rather deal with social justice people who at least at their heart are trying to do something good for someone even if I think they are ham-handed about it sometimes. |
