DP, but I don’t even have masks anymore. Nor do I intend to buy them. |

"I was at two pharmacies and Whole Foods today with full on COVID. I sneezed at least twice in each location.
Should I have worn a mask??? Yes. Why didn’t you?" Again, I ask those who are opposed to wearing a mask: Why should I, a person with an active case of COVID and lots of sneezing and coughing, take any extra steps whatsoever (like wearing a mask on a hot summer day when I'm already all stuffed up) in order to protect you, when you yourself aren't taking any actions??? FWIW, I have been wearing a mask since testing positive, just like I always do when indoors or in crowded areas. But it amazes me that the non-mask wearers are willing to count on me to go out of my way and buy masks and wear them. It doesn't make sense that anyone in their right mind would depend on me, a total stranger, to be responsible and willing to make sacrifices on their behalf. Since I'm sick right now and expelling the virus, I get pretty much no protection from wearing a mask today. The only people who benefit from me wearing it are the maskless people. |

I started wearing a mask during sex don’t want to get covid that way.
Safe sex. |
You are hilarious! Now go and do your homework and let the adults talk, sweetie. |
. Agreed. I was at Target and the supermarket - no one is wearing masks in NOVA |
Same for MoCo. |
I was in a target in howard county and there was a man and child both masked who kept trying to get away from me and others as soon as we got close by in the aisle - it was obvious. |
They probably just had covid and thought they should try to keep their distance from others. I guess that’s nice of them. |
| What is with all of the 20-something women wearing masks? I see more of them masking than older people. |
Some people have jobs that don’t offer sick leave and don’t have health insurance. An older retiree can visit the doctor and spend time recovering on the couch if it gets bad. A 20 something who makes $13 per hour at a daycare can’t. |
I'm not a masker and don't believe in any kind of mandate, but this is basic courtesy. Going out to run errands when you are fully contagious with anything and not even making a pretense of caring whether you infect others is just rude. Here's a hint: Whole Foods delivers and CVS has a drive-through... |
Oh, those of you in Arlington have no idea how different it is to actually live in DC. No, the majority of people in DC are not wearing those masks, but many more are everyday, and those who do are very angry at those of us who won't. DC is overpopulated with nerdy, anxiety addled weirdos. |
Anxiety. That whole generation of young women has an epidemic of anxiety. |
New poster. I do see this phenomena of young 20-something women being the most vigilant mask wearers. They tend to also have things like purple hair, tattoos, you name it. All the hallmarks of young progressive women. I wouldn't classify them as service workers who can't miss her job or she'll be fired Do think it's virtue signaling to each other. And young women are more inclined towards righteous causes. Probably the modern version of all the young Sunday School teachers of 1823 clutching on to their crosses around their neck the way their great-great-great-granddaughter clutches on to her covid mask. |
Young women are also the most likely to have their legitimate medical needs dismissed as “mental illness”. It’s understandable they might go out of their way to avoid things like long COVID or POTS that could put them on a path to be gaslit by doctors for years or longer. |
