I know someone that happened too at a private school in Bethesda, the police rushed, took him in handcuffs, face was all over the place on the web. They went on a child telling their parents something happened. It turns out she was angry with the teacher for something else and case was dismissed but parents were slamming him on line and everything. They sold him down the river before investigation. Judge dismissed it immediately.

Montgomery County PD has never arrested a teacher for abuse just because one child goes to them saying that man did whatever to me. They need more than that to press charges and you know it.
Fool, Believe what you want too, but he was fired, taken off premises by police, the kid’s parents got involved with lawyers and the judge dismissed it in 2 minutes. His exact words to the prosecutor was ‘I’m not sure what you’re doing here’. His face was all over the internet and he was innocent so guess what, You’re wrong.

Didn’t happen, definitely not in Montgomery County.

I vaguely remember this. I think it was a Holton physics teacher. His face was definitely over the news.

Home alone is a pediphile’s dream. Yet, I hope he’s been screened for depression / suicide. It would seriously be tragic for something to happen.

Gilman needs to allow victims, current and former students, to pick their own therapists that Gilman will pay for. Who wants to confide of their sex abuse to the school’s carefully selected counselors? That’s creepy as hell.

Gilman is doing this already as part of their plan moving forward. They have also brought in outside therapists not employed by the school
For the students and on the weekend has outside therapists for the parents.

Some people don’t want Gilman chosen therapists. There’s no guarantee of confidentiality. I know from the inside how othen the confidentiality requirement is completely ignored.

From the inside of what?

Therapists are bound to confidentiality - it doesn’t matter if Gilman pays their fees.

As I said, the confidentiality requirement is often ignored.

So you don’t like therapists period. Okay whatever.

Listen up. Therapists are critical to the care of Gilman rape victims and their families. Free choice of a therapist by your rape victims is equally critical. Why would Gilman oppose that?

This is such a bizarre thing for you to be fixating on.

Not a fixation, just a fact. Gilman should not be mandating which therapists they’ll pay. A grave injustice has been perpetrated on the victimized boys. They may require years and years of professional therapy. Child rape is the worst of all crimes. It may be impossible to ever have a healthy intimate relationship.

The actual victims will eventually get settlements and use the money for their chosen therapy among other things. As an initial matter, and for the rest of the school community, having a set of therapists on call or available is pretty much how every school in a similar situation handles this.

Therapists hired by Gilman are indeed an excellent option for anyone who trusts therapists hired by Gilman. It’s a sensitive relationship between the school and the therapists, especially as long as detectives are investigating how potential rumors of abuse were handled.

Gilman is not stopping you from getting your own therapist. Have at it. Please, seriously do.

You sound mighty irate that Gilman will be held accountable. Don’t you think rape victims deserve justice? And the perp should be severely punished for the 15 he got away with his crimes?

I beg of you: use some of the money from the settlement you said you got from your long-ago school and find therapy. Perseverating here does not help the Gilman families affected and it doesn’t help you, either.

You are confusing two different posters

The March date is just a preliminary hearing not the trial. Trials don't happen that fast.

On what basis? Did he get a new judge or something? The one he had didn’t seem so lenient.
