The FBI agent who held the meetings says that the comments were less definitive than how Roth describes them. Here is what he said in his deposition for a lawsuit:

No. I believe — I don’t believe he flagged it during one of the meetings. I just think that — so I don’t know. I cannot read his mind, but my assessment is because I don’t remember discussing Hunter Biden at any of the meetings with Twitter, that we didn’t discuss it.

So this would have been something that he would have just thought of as a hot-button issue on his own that happened in October.

Basically, the FBI was meeting with social media companies regularly to inform them of possible threats. The FBI was not telling them to censor or block anything, but simply providing information on which the social media companies could make their own decisions.

I posted that Bari Weiss is “revealing” things that were previously reported. Also worth noting that she and Taibbi are both “revealing” things that have been publicly available in Twitter’s TOS for years.

It does seem like a pretty big grift to me.
