Loud ATV drivers at night? City government? Police?

End of the school year, time to make it all come together for the kids. After this crap, what, 2-3 hrs of peace before all these men (and there’s not a girl) roll in from the exurbs to do their lawnmower tricks? For what? Who do you think you are serving?

We knew and loved go go before you knew what it was. No one is hating on it. But what is the sense in this? Who is it hurting? Think!

Who does it serve? MD boys?? What?!

What does this have to do with dirt bikes and atvs? Are you getting radicalized online by Popville? You know he had to shut off the comments because thr racism was too embarrassing for him?

WashingtonDCProbs has a great video of one these guys from last night on U Street. The idiot tried to pop a wheelie and ended up flipping his bike over. As he was trying to right it, the cops ran up on him.

Whatever you are, is not thoughtful or compassionate. Talk to your Black neighbors with children first.

Note how I’m not asking who you are; I’m trying to understand what you are saying and keep an open mind.

Thank you! Finally. This is so bad for your neighbors that it’s the hill we’ll die on, as long as it takes. There are more of us every day.

So much may be lost for DC if we let 20 guys from the burbs win DC. Ride in your own place. Let’s see how that goes

I said what I said, and if you don’t get it, you will. But it may be well too late for our Ward.

Here’s what shocking. Not one defender of ATVs ever had anything to say about the local children, girls or families. It’s nice writing from Silver Spring huh, ride there then!

And it’s starting. Let’s calculate the school potential lost combined to no sleep and no dignity because as a young girl it’s clear you don’t matter! Some ATV dude popping a wheelie is the future!

Since you clearly don’t talk to your Black neighbors what I am going to tell you is exactly what they will tell you: where’s all the effort and concern to stop the gun violence? It’s crazy in the days after March for Our Lives that your number one concern and that of Popville and your white neighbors is kids on ATVs. Says a lot about you and how little you know your neighbors in this city.

It’s not my #1 concern. What are you, Trump? This is a classic Trump school of deflection and demagoguery.

It is however my top #5 concern and rising. Capable of complex processing here until my mental state fails due to the sleepless night and watching what it’s doing to the families

You talk to your Black neighbors. You in school with our kids? How many do you know? Thought so.

@Bowser buy us out and make it a motocross city or tell us Ward 1 kids don’t matter more than cheap thrills for 30-50 men

Just so we know.

Any politician willing to do

These debates are tainted by the very things ATV defenders complain about - it’s some woke kid on here regurgitating what they think they heard would sound cool. It’s not a person getting up for work and school, ditto twitter etc. but you go to where people are you hear what matters.

I hope the Ward 1 primary is clear as day and a beacon of the climb change. I don’t even know the two candidates, but the issues, if you have to get up in the morning, and watch your kids try to, are what it turns on

Getting some real Nancy Grace, suburban vibes here. It’s not only a city, but one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. You chose to live and raise a family among nightlife. If you were concerned about your kids being able to sleep, there are plenty of quieter neighborhoods in the city you could choose.

I’m Black, dumbass.

Honestly, it’s a really big issue for all the families around here. There’s not one that’s in favor of ATVs/dirt bikes whole night long in DC. So many spots this could take place and not throw into questions livelihoods and educations and health

What’s your excuse?

I’d like to hear some reasons for ATVs/dirt bikes riding on our streets whole night long?

I totally get why not, I just never quite grasped the why yes, why roll over and die as a city for barely a few dozen men, most not from DC?

For me it’s a quality of life issue. There’s no soundproofing that will solve it, and, unlike the flight path, no public benefit.
