Exactly. Having children (or not) is a fundamental right. |
I called some 8-cell blobs “babies”, but they aren’t babies. Heck, I even call my dogs “babies”. |
It’s one of the most basic rights. To control your own body. |
And as someone who has miscarried and given birth, I would experience different trauma very differently if I miscarried than if my newborn died in the car accident. Because the the fetus is the idea of a potential baby, not yet a real one. In my faith we view baby as a concept that slowly evolves from definitely not a baby at conception to actually a baby at birth. The mother is fully a human all along . I don't expect you to follow my faith, but I also don't want you to dictate yours to me. |
Getting an abortion is not controlling your body. Try again. |
You already decided once you got pregnant. You could have done many, many things that are available to not have them. |
Abortion is not birth control. |
So were you as concern about people's right to control their own body when it comes to the Covid vaccine mandates? Are you also telling your kid you refuse to pay tuition at any college that mandates the vaccine? Because the students should have the right to "control their own body?" Would be interesting to cross reference the schools that are allowing student to "control their own body" by not requiring the vaccine, with the states that will still allow abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned--I'm guessing there will be very few schools. |

Public health mandates are not the same thing
This actually is Christian theocracy, which violates separation of church and state since not every religion views this issue the same way. |
No, it’s medical care. |
| Of course not. |
You mean the vaccines related to public health? I think of them just like all preceding vaccinations. No one is forcing you to get them, but if you want to be in public (schools, etc), then schools, etc can require them. Just like they do with a variety of vaccines. Homeschool your kid just like the other anti vaxxers if it’s an issue fof you. |
A forced birth is not analogous to requiring a vaccine for school.or employment. |
| OP I’m more concerned that my college age child know the difference between affecting and effecting. |
There are many reasons why a women may no longer want to be pregnant. You seem unfamiliar with women/sex/pregnancy/healthcare. Are you a 13 yo boy who opted out of sex ed? Totally clueless. |
