It will be fine to get them all recruited, but it is not the ultra-talented 2025 class. It is what it is DC parents. Just accept it and enjoy the ride.

Capital 2025 ended #4 (not #1) so there were better teams out there. Pride is currently #8 - with the majority of Cap Blue 28 likely to be Pride, and select additions from Stars LB, no reason to think Capital 28 Blue won’t be in the ballpark.

Everyone is assuming all of Pride just moves on to Capital. What if some of those players stay at Pride or look to other clubs?

The Capital 25 class is much more talented than the 28 class, parents need to see that.

No Pride player will turn down a Capital Blue acceptance offer.

Was the primary group that fed to Capital 2025 in 8th grade #1 in the country at the time? No.

Again, Capital 2025 was #4 and Pride is currently #8. Right there.

Probably few people on this 2028 forum have ever seen the 2025s play, nor can they see into the future. You sound very knowledgeable about the past and future, so I will defer to you on this.

You are ASSuming that other clubs won’t improve and that Capital will magically gel. Bottom line is the coaching historically is mid-level and won’t get them raise their game. History says they are going to be what they are going in, probably between the #7-12 best team in 2028s. Again, good enough to get recruited but don’t fool yourself thinking that the team is going to be all that.

In 8th grade DMV 2025 teams that sent players to Capital were ranked as follows:

Pride: #13
Stars: #38
MC Elite Midnight: #68

Current rankings for the 2028s:

Pride: #8
Stars: #30

As everyone predicts Cap 2028 will be predominately be a mix of Pride and Stars, these teams are performing better than those that sent the most players to Capital 2025 during their 8th grade season.

Well if history says they are going to be what they are going on, let's look at the rankings of a couple of the feeder teams of the 2025s when they were in 8th grade:

Pride Red #13
Stars #38

CLC Blue 2025 is currently #4, which is way better than they were going in. What would history have to say about that?

A more accurate comparison is to match 8th grade rankings of the feeder teams (2025 v 2028) which was posted above and makes a strong case that current 2028 teams are performing at a higher level.

Who has the time to do all this research? I admit I get a chuckle out of these posts, but the obsession over making this team is real - can only imagine th pressure your kids feel.

I don't understand the obsession with predicting the team's rankings and success. If the one consistent about Capital is that they get kids recruited, regardless of where the team lies in the top #20, who cares?

Where will the vast majority of people who do not make blue send their kids for lax next year? Are people trying out for multiple clubs?

History says to say Hi to 2026 and 2027 Blue when you drop your kid off for 2028 Orange….

Agreed. That was my point about not wanting MD kids. The competition is already stiff, the team will be in the top 20 which will get most players recruited, so who cares about getting the strongest possible team? I’d rather get my kid a spot on it.

And at this point, the primary objective is to get recruited, not win tournaments thus the 50/50 playing time model.
