Unc is getting exposed

Anonymous
The press is gutting Unc over 20 years graduating illiterate athletes and having all students allowed to take the same no show courses to keep it from being a violation !!

The thinking is "if the whole school takes classes that don't meet and hand out grades then the athletes aren't getting special treatment." You should see the 1 paragraph paper on Rosa Parks that got an A-. It's all over the net!!! It would be funny if teams that play Unc blow it u and hang it below the basket!

NP - here it is in all it's greatness

On the evening of December Rosa Parks decided that she was going to sit in the white people section on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama. During this time blacks had to give up there seats to whites when more whites got on the bus. Rosa parks refused to give up her seat. Her and the bus driver began to talk and the conversation went like this. "Let me have those front seats" said the driver. She didn't get up and told the driver that she was tired of giving her seat to white people. "I'm going to have you arrested," said the driver. "You may do that," Rosa Parks responded. Two white policemen came in and Rosa Parks asked them "why do you all push us around?" The police officer replied and said "I don't know, but the law is the law and you're under arrest."

unc is a decent school, but all state schools have their dregs that much smaller and elite private schools don't have to put up with
Anonymous
^^^ but the dregs don't get a diploma at most good state schools. Unc hands out degrees to countless illiterates.

you are kidding yourself if you think athletes don't get covered for at even ucla, berkeley, uva, michigan, etc.
Anonymous
^^^ they don't graduate illiterate at any of those schools. Only Unc gives diplomas for absolutely zero achievement . They also don't have 150 classes that never met. Unc has given up everything and they let regular students "take the classes" too so it isn't an NCAA violation. The NCAA doesn't regulate whether a school sucks, they regulate special treatment of athletes .

At UMD , Gary Williams was always in trouble for not graduating players. Randy Edsall kicked out 20 players that were failing. UMD administration has special staff and organized study for the athletes but if you don't do the work you fail out.

+1. Bob Wade pre-Gary Williams was the worst at this. And Michigan has definitely gotten in trouble for this before. And IIRC, Dexter Manley was illiterate when he graduated from I think Oklahoma? Sadly, this is not new nor limited to Chapel Hill.

Chapel hill, Alabama , Mississippi , Kentucky , Oklahoma state . Those kinds of schools are birds of a feather. No wonder Unc wants to join the SEC.

There is nothing about College Park that is a model for any other school.

Friend's DD goes there and they have a whole academic center just for athletes so they get tutoring or whatever they need to pass courses.

My daughter is an athlete at UW-Madison (not a major sport - think golf or tennis) and they have that too. I don't think it's that rare.
