Unc is getting exposed

The thinking is "if the whole school takes classes that don't meet and hand out grades then the athletes aren't getting special treatment." You should see the 1 paragraph paper on Rosa Parks that got an A-. It's all over the net!!! It would be funny if teams that play Unc blow it u and hang it below the basket!

I am always rather skeptical about the authenticity of things that are "all over the net." Why aren't you?

You are instantly recognizable by your tone, diction and fanatacism about a very solid - but not spectacular - state school. +1. It's only a matter of time before we are also joined by the VA Tech booster who will battle it out with the UMd booster. Only on DCUM does every thread evolve into being about either VA Tech or Maryland.

Unc actually gives diplomas to people with a 3rd grade reading level.

This is cheating , low budget, sleazy and probably racist. A lot like Penn State it's institutional and low quality people run the school.

It does. Try gettign involved with the athletic program of a school and you will see things you never thoguht they would do. I am nto talking about beign a booster I am tlaking about jobs, money, women, drugs, gambling it is all at every school at every level.

You think NYU is a good school? happend there, Tulane is a prety good school happened there, Get your head out of the sand. These sports provide so much $$$$ for schools they are not going to turn away from that sort of revenue.

The funny thing is, it is extremely rare a school even breaks even on sports. In 2012, only SEVEN schools did.

Not like this. Unc acts like a good school. It's not. Illiterates have degrees . B1G 10 and PAC 12 schools would never do something this stupid. Maybe SEC schools would .. Unc should move to the SEC to be with its academic equals.

The first sentence of the paper is the best .

"On the evening of December"...no date, lol

Puleeze... Vtech? Talk about no innovative or even famous alumni? No nobels, no academy awards, no pulitzers, no Emmys , no national championships.

Don't get me started on the annual horrors.

Those are nothing compared to 20 years of diplomas for zero work at Unc , please.

+1 this is one of the reasons tuition keeps increasing

They do this at Cornell for the hockey team. Well, at least they did this 20 years ago. I took a class where in the weekly TA sessions the TA handed the two hockey players the weekly quiz and the players left the room and came back 20 minutes later with the quizzes filled out. The rest of us nobodies actually had to stay and silently take the quizzes on our own.
In other big lecture classes the hockey players never came to class once and then suddenly appeared for the final. These were multi-media classes given by big name professors. There's no way the players could get the same content from a tutor.

Kinesiology is actually a pretty difficult major. Lots of science.

On the evening of December Rosa Parks decided that she was going to sit in the white people section on the bus in Montgomery, Alabama. During this time blacks had to give up there seats to whites when more whites got on the bus. Rosa parks refused to give up her seat. Her and the bus driver began to talk and the conversation went like this. "Let me have those front seats" said the driver. She didn't get up and told the driver that she was tired of giving her seat to white people. "I'm going to have you arrested," said the driver. "You may do that," Rosa Parks responded. Two white policemen came in and Rosa Parks asked them "why do you all push us around?" The police officer replied and said "I don't know, but the law is the law and you're under arrest."

OMG... This has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard of. Can you imagine the higher ups in the "university" graduating this stuff for 20 years and rationalizing it in their heads! Ha ha that's the definition of insanity and all human weakness / failure in one package!

I would love to see the graduation ceremony videos where the chancellor talks about all the hard work that went into the degree's LOL...somone needs to dig those up so we can do scientific study on what people's face looks like when they are lying over long periods of time. It's also funny to watch Unc trying to cover it up and indignantly pretend it's not true. They look like Penn State, desperately spinning to make an appearance that they do things "the right way". Then they try to drag in everybody and say "everybody does it"! No they don't . Some might , but right now Unc got caught and smearing good schools with no evidence is rediculous. Schools that struggle graduating athletes are obviously honest and the degree means something. The first place to look is at schools that are "successful" graduating high level athletes in 4 years. Those are probably graduating illiterates like Unc.
